This is just my theory, but let's assume that he really had a bad case of flu or pneumonia, and it culminated in some sort of coronary event when he returned home that night. If that were true, the family might have a pretty good sense of what happened, but there's a need for toxicology results to come back just to be sure. That would explain why Sheila seems to be hinting about it being a natural death (we know what's going on) but not being able to say that specifically.
Either way, we'll find out eventually, and there's no reason for the family to rush out some speculative cause of death before official results are back. No Candy 4 Me

I had a bad toothache and took too many prescription pain pills and I almost had a very bad situation happen,it can happen in a blink of an eye. For someone with as much exposure and life awareness I mean this is unbelievable

Is Percocet a given prescription for pneumonia? If you have pneumonia that bad what are you doing running around acting like nothing's wrong n talking about dying? [Edited 4/24/16 12:18pm]

I heard that he was too sick or too much in pain to continue playing. This was on a website, I don't remember which one. Well people at the dance party at paisley park the Saturday before he passed heard PRINCE say he wasn't paying it because he was focusing and improving on Piano because of the ongoing tour. Edit:not a quote...I'm paraphrasing. [Edited 4/26/16 4:51am]

If he knew he was dying, wouldn't have left loose ends open.

And would he of had that beautiful Purple guitar made and ordered a bass guitar to be made from the same guy.

Yeah, when I read that I knew that this idea that he "knew it" was wrong. He was still full of plans and that makes it sadder. When someone dies at old age (BB King for instance) it's easier to accept.

Maybe Sheila E was just trying to get the guy to stop asking questions. It all sort of points to a big mistake on Prince's part. He acts and looks young. But pushing a 57 year old body to act like it is a 20 year old body is probably what caused his death in the end. I don't think he knew he was going to die. But I do think he just was having a hard time adjusting to an aging body. And he tried to keep that private.

Considering the April snow in many European countries, I guess he checked the forecast before he went... But seriously, we just can't say whether he knew or not. Every theory that's going round is based on our perception and wishful thinking while searching for answers....

This ain't theory whoever was on the plane with him knew something very bad was going on with him that's y they mad emergency landing they even gave him a save life shot @ the airport to save his life I know one thing he knew from that point something really bad was going on

If he knew he was dying why wouldn't he prepare a will? Just seems strange to not get your affairs in order if you knew your time was coming to an end.

If it's true what his brother-in-law said that he was awake for over 150 hours straight, was Prince afraid of dying in his sleep? Not trying to speculate or spread rumors, that's just what comes to my mind as I'm trying to process all this.
I know Prince didn't sleep very much but who can stay awake that long?

There are many reasons why they can't talk about what happened. I don't believe people forgetting how private Prince was about his life. He would not know anyone to know and perhaps we will not ever know. They must have been instructed by someone to say nothing. It cannot be suspicious and that's why she won't talk as they have already said that is not the case. Whatever you heard about me is true

I had the cold/flu once years ago and I took some over the counter medication that was the wrong kind for my condiditon. I went to bed and woke up with a racing heart beat. I had to go to the hospital for some medicine to countact the reaction and learned I have a real heart condition; so I am glad that it happened to me at all. My point is that if Prince did go to Walgreen for something maybe he just had a bad reaction to the medicine. I was severely dehydrated from the cold and that sparked my heart issue. I would image Prince was dehydrated and exhausted from the flu it created a "perfect storm" situation. Prince was also probably dehydrated from the two shows in Atlanta when he had the emergency on the plane.
Also on how thin some people said Prince was lately, maybe he was depressed from Denise dying a few weeks earlier and was not eating well? [Edited 4/26/16 9:27am]

rainbowchild said: Whatever his reasons for hiding his illness, I respect his need for privacy until the end. Also loved the fact that he didn't want to make a circus of his death and have an elaborate funeral but chose to be cremated and a private memorial with his loved ones. What matters now is the music he has shared with us all these years and for that I'm grateful. I guess I'm getting to the "acceptance" stage of grieving, when a couple of days ago I was in denial. How do we know he wanted to be cremated if he did not make a will ? Guess his family knew what he wanted or it was what they wanted - prob the right way to go he would t have wanted it to be a media circus for sure

I think he knew on a subconscious level, not in his consciousness but his subconscious - which is connected to the Universe---Sort of the same way I once sent a letter to someone I loved very much, pouring out my heart - letting them know how much I loved them, and then they died a week later. When I was going through the belongings, I found the envelope that had contained my letter and the person had written their grocery list on it- letting me know it'd been received. We all know everything on a subconscious level.

My mind was wandering, and right or wrong this thought popped in my head: what if the reason he held onto the 'fro hairstyle so long (longer than any other look) was to bookend his musical career looking basically the same. Maybe he knew he was on borrowed time earlier than this year?

I cried the first time I listened to it after Prince passed. But the more I listened, the more peace it brought me. I keep listening to see what is being said that I'm missing. But I love that song. AMAZING. Beautiful, Loved and Blessed
Thank You Prince | |

I definitely think he knew.... somehow. He invited Morris, which included Jellybean and Madonna to Paisley. Seems like he was making amends.
Also, I've never been a conspiracy theorist, but so many weird coincidences - the number 7, the elevator, did anyone see what it said Prince was up to 20 years ago on 4/21 in the book "The Vault?"
