The filler tracks on Batman, Lemon crush, Vicki Waiting and Trust.

Vicki Waiting, a filler? So I guess you didn't laugh at all.
But it's a funny song, and there's never enough electro-acoustic guitar in Skipper's repertoire.

I still find Trust to be one of a kind. But I can understand, there are days when all this positive jumpy attitude can get on your nerves.
But when you're in the mood for it, Trust is grandiose, it's the heir of All My Dreams and Christopher Tracey's Parade, drowned in bubble-gum Pop.
Yeah, I know, blasphemies... wink

'Electric Chair'...I've recently been revisiting that 89-92 era, and I realize it was much better than I gave him credit for...but when I first heard 'Electric Chair' at 14 years of age... disbelief

The song that I absolutely HATED upon my first listen (and several other listens after that) was "Pussy Control". I first heard it when I was at Paisley Park (I think it was back in 1994). I remember saying to my now ex-friend, "Eww, I don't like that song". The, "Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!", part got on my last nerve. I got used to it, but at first, I was like, "What is this shit?" lol

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Maybe it's all about context. I first heard PC in a strip club and this knockout brunette was swinging on a pole to it. I was hooked.

To me... it is one of the fewest ballads from that era that are exquisite like.. with the Linn and everything. Do you like "When 2 R In Love"? "Crucial"?

Terrible song... This is one of the reasons why TGE is highly over rated and hasn't aged as well as more organic less "finished" albums such as COME.

The Vanity 6 track Makeup seemed pretty pointless to me. Thank God Susan got to make up for it by singing Drive Me Wild.

I would have to say Sister kinda didn't do much for me. After falling in love with Prince's music when Controversy came out, I found myself getting the album prior and being somewhat put off by the raw production quality of that album. With time I was better able to appreciate the album but Sister never grew on me.

CONDITION OF THE HEART and DO U LIE?

Those were the first two songs I did not care for. I would skip right over them. Now I can actually listen to them. My 45 yr old ears don't mind as much as they did when I was 16. wink

Hello all! The only song that I have heard that I've never liked is "Solo." To me it brings that album to a halt.

I just listened to the Letitgo CD single and Solo was the b-side. If you've never felt that sad, then you probably can't relate! I think it is astoundingly moving.

First P song I didn't like was "Lemon Crush" from Batman.

First P song I really hated was "Tick Tick Bang" from Graffiti Bridge.
Still I have to accept that he made a similar musical obscenity.
