GottaLetitgo

Number 18 on Billboard's Adult R and B chart, bigger hit than TCBU at this point which I think peaked at 20 on that chart.

All good things they say never last...

It's nice that this song has been released to radio. I honestly prefer the Nona Gaye version. Her voice slides over the beat. Prince's vocals seem to be at war with it somewhat.

Agreed. And that beautiful electric guitar and horn are wonderful. Listening to that version of the song, it feels like you're floating on air.

It makes me wish that Prince would shoot a music video to capitalize on the gains this song is having at Black radio. It's actually exciting seeing this song actually make a dent on radio. Still haven't heard the song on the radio but the groove of the music and vocal performance is Prince's smoothest as a single in a long time.

Nonsense.. I like the original but it's nostalgia now and the new track is perfect. If Prince had promoted it with a fully produced video, it would be a hit. The proof is that it's a minor hit with sub-zero promotion.

The best song on the album without a doubt... This is probably my most played Prince song of his new material, even if it is a re record of an older song...

Def Jam does the promo for the UMG Roc Nation releases, and since Roc Nation/UMG put HitNRun in stores for NPG Records, I suppose they're doing the same for Prince.

it's a good track. A good edit minus his spoken parts could do well on the pop spectrum as well. Holds up really well to repeated listening, which a radio track has to.

This song is moving quickly into the top 10 & it's barely FOUR threads? But so quick to say prince would NEVER have another hit on the radio.

This right here needs 2 b CELEBRATED!!!!

The biggest news perhaps is the fact that Prince has an adult r&b hit on his hands without lifting his fingers. I've only heard a few of the other songs in the top 15. Tank, Kirk Franklin? These dudes are terrible.

it's the perfect drive time radio song. The perfect kind of song played on any pop radio station in the US on the way to work or drive home. Prince get your ass on The Tonight Show or Kimmel and perform it. As far as looking for a hit song, If it was a snake it would have bit him.

Love this track it's perfect. Any promotion would have pushed it to the top 10 by now, just goes to show he's far from desperate for a hit.

Seeing "1,000 X's & O's" flanked by Kendrick Lamar and Yo Gotti, is a sign o' the times. In the '80s, these artists would have been solely singers. Interesting.
