This track works for radio, it stands repeated listening really well. I could see it go higher with a little push.

It's nice that this song has been released to radio. I honestly prefer the Nona Gaye version. Her voice slides over the beat. Prince's vocals seem to be at war with it somewhat.

Edges up to NUmber 20, seems to be doing a little bit better than TCBU...audience almost 2 million (1.66)...doesn't compare with the 100 million plus audience of Justin Beiber's song but certainly seems to be continuing to gain traction.

I am seeing a lot of love for this track online, a lot of people are searching for it. I honestly think with a little push, a single release and a video, Prince would score a decent hit. Interesting that this song has more hits on the Peach & Black review on youtube than any other by far!

Yes, bit when was the last time that prince didnt sabotage his new music? There might be a chance of it getting a little bit of traction, so he will do pretty much nothing to support it. It's what he does.

Up to 19 with almost 3 million audience...think it is a bigger hit now than TCBU. Just nice to hear a new Prince joint on the radio, miss those days when it was an event when a Prince signle was released to radio.

I'm not 100% sure it moved up a spot, some songs may be missing from today's chart. One song that was several spots ahead of it is completely missing today. THat doesnt' seem at all possible for a chart that is updated daily with the trailing 7 days of airplay. So it may still be #18, but continues to gain momentum.

Concerning the physical copie, i must confess I was half wrong, while it sold maybe 40.000 ex worldwide (that is to say, nothing), it's only half an album...The release will be complete when PHASE 2 will be released !

After Phase 2 should combine both in2 a funky double album....Then eye can end the year in purple heaven.....

I agree that the success of the song won't help move the "HITNRUN" album significantly but I don't think Prince or any other artist for that matter expect a single to sell albums no matter what chart it's on. "1,000 Hugs And Kisses" really has found traction with Urban Adult Contemporary and if nothing else reminds those listeners that he has still active commercially. If there such a thing as "PHASE 2", I hope it's released traditionally.

Now that "1000 Hugs & Kisses" is turning into another MEGA hit 4 ! Maybe he will do another hot remix 4 it & put it on PHASE2! seems logical...
