i mean seriously...the song "For You", is the most perfect opening song for a debut album, possible...sometimes when i hear it, it causes "holy ghost" chills in my spine and makes my eyes water up...it makes you feel like prolonged greatness is about to happen and keep happening...for at least 40 years

6.5. I like it but not nearly as much as the second one. I've said this before but that second one? That mothafuka changed me.

What i will say about For You is its an amazing album considering how young prince was. disbelief bow

Depends on how you look at it.
Compared to the other great albums that were yet to come, it's 5/10 at the most. But that's not fair because those albums didn't exist yet in 1978! So as a debut album for a 20 year old multi-instrumentalist-producer-singer-songwriter with no experience whatsoever, it's 10/10.

Considering the quality if the music, and that the dude was under 20 years old when he did this, the ablum is a freakin 40 minute miracle.
