Pop Life. That would've been a trippy video, I betcha.

There we go. I think not having a video for Pop Life really impacted on it's status outside the fanbase. I know it charted relatively high in the US, but with no video I think it got forgotten somewhat and should be up there with Kiss, Cream, When Doves Cry, 1999 etc but it isn't.

There are a lot of the 1978-1982 videos I would rework.

But Automatic was the real standout video with the S&M scene

Outside of When Doves Cry, the other Purple Rain videos were mostly performance/movie cuts

...a video for 17 Days, maybe something different for Let's Go Crazy

A real Paisley Park video, Pop Life, Hello,

Tamborine: Prince, BrownMark, Dr Fink, Bobby Z, Brad Marsh all in black black & white cartoon images like Raspberry Beret of erotica

Christopher Tracy's Parade bursting in full vibrant color Prince leading the band and a procession of musicians with their instruments(Clare Fischers people on the album) Sheila E and band Mazarati

a solo Under the Cherry Moon video black n white with splashes of color, Prince his piano the ballerina and Paris

It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night, the video performance released as a video

Yes, indeed, it should be at the same level, such a great song. It sounds to me like a Purple Rain song, similar to Take Me With U

If Eye was the Man in Ur Life

I picture a high energy video with a lot of brief celebrity cameos bobbing their heads and singing along. Pharrel, David Grohl, Erykah Badu, and a some other folks appear one at a time in a small, tightly packed club, in the hallways, outside by the pool, etc. And the camera follows Prince as he makes his way through the crowd. Musicology, Call My Name, and If Eye ... would've been a nice trifecta of singles & videos. Cinnamon Girl was a little too tepid for me, especially compared to the Neil Young song of the same name.

Now & Electric Chair are great choices. Both could've been minor hits, enough radio play so I could sing along with casual fans at a party.

the song "Lovesexy".I wanted this to be the second single from that album.I wanted a powerful, provocative video that truly shows everyone what the whole 'lovesexy' concept is really all about.

In 1985,music videos were essential. It was a bold move for Prince to not make a video for this song. The song still became a hit but like you said,it seems to be forgotten when people mention his hits from the 80s.

I would have love to see videos from albums like Art Official Age, 3121, Planet Earth, 20Ten, more from LotusFlow3r and MPLSound, plus songs like So Far, So Please from the RAVE album, Pop Life from Around The World In A Day, SPACE and LETITGO from the Come album, 319 from the Gold Experience....oh there is so many!

He might have those made in a vault. Who knows.

Mr Goodnight. It should have been so sickeningly opulent and overtly indulgent looking that it was obnoxious. But wonderful! lol

The Affirmations/Way Back Home.
Would have great to see a more emotionally revealing video by Prince to go along with this.
