Prince is Peach or Beige

In America, you don't have to be black, to be black. My great great grandfather was a creek indian from south carolina, but he was still black enough to be a slave. Of course, genetically speaking, everyone is black if you go back far enough, as black people are the progenitors of all people on earth.

I'm not trying to make this a serious race discussion.
I was being funny. What is that line he said in UTCM to Tricky?

I almost said Prince is Purple, Prince is Rainbow Children

I'm from America so I understand the social/political terms of race

This song is so comically perfect. Great effort at a soul sound, very authentic. They Hyundai, the pack of gum, the song is sung to jenny but its called Debra...the intentional sophmorism is like....I can't describe be...at least while couple with the genuine, and authentic sonic accompaniment.

Obviously Prince preempted beck n yes more talented. However when I first saw beck on telly it was Prince that crossed my mind. It's nothing to do with sound it's more that they look at music in a similar way. So what I mean by this is that they take an artist or genre and use it like an instrument or a hyperbolised sample. I find it hard to explain but they can both take someone else's"style" n it's more than a rip off it's more like a riff

There are some similarities, Beck is in the Prince tradition. I will say though that as Prince drew heavily from James Brown, Sly, Joni Mitchell, and Jimi for much of his career, Beck has drawn from Prince but also folks like Elliott Smith and Jeff Buckley.

Beck is HUGE Prince fan. 1 more 4 the purple soldiers. Would be cool to discuss Prince music/culture with him.

Beck was excited to receive and award presented by Prince, but Kanya messed that up for him.
