I think most fans are bored to death with his proteges by now, u only have to look at how bad Plec sold to know little interest there are

Plectrum Electrum in second place. 2nd worst selling PRINCE album ever, right behind N.E.W.S.

2. Put out the damn Purple Rain deluxe, already.

3. Create a better website with old concerts we can watch, outtakes we can buy, and any and all new music.

Give me a break -- not playing a wish list game doesn't make me a "too far gone" fan. If others want to play it and spell out their wishes, that's fine, we're all allowed to dream but by and large too many fans treat Prince as their musical valet, creating petty threads that try to put down Prince in a new way. So yeah, if you ask me, Prince would be better off without his fixated critics, we were indeed asked what we wished for.

I wish that Prince were here and that the Paisley Park After Dark shows really will go on for 'eternity.'

Make music for yourself that is free of any pressure to satisfy critics, other musicians, fans and Questlove. As long as Prince makes music that comes from his heart whether I like it or not.

Grant some television and radio interviews and make public appearances by way of concerts (or opening Paisley Park for a series of events related to the album for example) to heavily promote the record you release, to help give the record a chance for sustained longevity on the charts: casual fans will have an opportunity to get into the record at their pace, profile in the media will be heightened and keep the people talking about your music as a recording artist as opposed to the foibles that dominate messages boards and social media as a celebrity.

That's because it wasn't a Prince album with Prince singing lead vocals on all the tracks. AOA has sold much better predominantly for this reason alone (although I do feel it's the better album).

I agree that the focus on proteges need to be refocused back on Prince. We're here for Prince and it is Prince we're interested in.

I would LOVE to get direct messages from Prince to this website for his fans. Maybe even a nice video message posted on the website from Prince or a handwritten note or recent pictures or backstage footage from a concert. Wow - that would b so sweet

I'd love to see him do his own late night live music TV talkshow. Where he can play new songs and jam with guests. Of course it's Prince so there would be the obligatory protegé showcases, but also real musicians too, Gary Clarke Jnr, Mark Ronson, Mars, Pharrell, Jack White, Vintage Trouble, Santana, Clapton, Elbow etc. Prince would give them a place to play along with jumping in and jamming when he felt like it.

Along with plenty of live music Prince could try his hand at being an interviewer rather than interviewee. Asking musical questions and leading short discussions before introducing the next band/song. - Instruments all around so at any point anyone could pick up an instrument to illustrate what they're talking about.

There would be plenty of scope for "outtakes" via an extended version of the show available on-demand. Album of the week/Artist of the month/One to watch. Maybe a 40 minute show with the full hour available online.

Basically I want Prince to steal the format for "Later... With Jooles Holland". People would get to see an intimate side of his musical ability. He could play his own new material and promote his new releases and those of his guests. It'd be great to see him playing with his contemporaries and having a laugh taking about music with people who can talk about music, rather than giving a monotone interview to a talkshow host.

True, but I think he'd benefit more from the TV exposure, especially in terms of album sales. Session footage would be awesome, but it'd be a tough sell Vs Prince weekly with a new artist and an established artist.

What he seems to want maybe even more than he wants a hit song is to launch or be associated with new artists. His own TV show would be a decent launch-pad. No silly gimmicks, no skits, no bullshit. Just musicians talking and playing.

How awesome would be be to see Prince and Stevie Wonder sitting at a piano talking about one of their songs. As musicians. None of the usual fawning. "So how did you come up with the melody for that song" - Tell me that wouldn't be great TV.
