The last third of the track Musicology where the bass kicks up

"For any reasssson there is a loss is cabin pressure"

The guitar solo in Time Waits For No One.

"I wish you could be in my shoes, but the're probably so high you fall off and die"

Just My Imagination. Prince and his guitar solo. Paard van Troje, the Hague, The Netherlands. 1988.

This is not Prince.

God was simply taking his usual summer joint break in Holland.
There was this Small Club, you see, He heard some music, so He went in.

The Ganja hitting pretty hard, he decided to enjoy himself.

"Now here's a pretty decent guitar player", he thought.
"Let's play a trick on the audience."

.

Excellent post, bonatoc.

Thanks! I thought it was maybe a cover of the fantastic Stones song by the same name, with a very Santana-esque solo by Mick Taylor. I was going to punch myself square in the nuts for not having that track already.

Prince's guitar solo and vocal scatting over the solo during All This Love at Montreaux 2009.

This was great, but the solo plus scatting during All the Critics Love U in Montreux was absolutely extatic !!!

Also the guitar solo in In A Large Room With No Light (2nd performance of that night) was more than amazing....

My favorite musical moments with Prince are def experienced live in concerts !

Like:

-opening the final concert of the first celly in Northrop Auditorium 2000 with Anna Stesia

-Beautiful Strange and Don't Play Me at the ONA soundcheck Frankfurt 2002 and

-SOTT ("psychedelic" outro ) and The Ladder at the main show, what a voice

-half of the 2 Montreuxgigs 2009, see above

-guitar solo in Dreamer followed by guit.-keyb.and harmonica solo in Stratus, Vienna 2010

-Purple Rain, Milan 2010.... so much devotion

-Bass Jam incl. Only Heaven Knows, Paris 2011......got me high without inhaling

-Empty Room and the whole sampler set from WDC till Forever In My Life, because it was enormously "upgraded with the participation of the 3rdeyegirls, Vienna 2014 (last concert, sigh)

on video I'd mention:

-Sign O the Times, almost everthing of this movie

-RRHOF performance with the absolute highlight While My Guitar Gently Weeps

-Septimo/Motherless Child: exceptional not just because of his outfit....

I guess mine has more sentimental attachment but mine would be from the start of the Lovesexy Tour - "In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine etc..."

I wrote this out to go in my nan's coffin when she passed sad . I added on the end 'til I cross the line & meet you again' . Makes me think of the most fantastic person every time I hear it & it remains the reason I simply can't let go of my VHS recorder smile
