What about vinyl? After all this time teasing vinyl, showing vinyl test pressings, mocking up a Plectrum Electrum record in a store... then it's finally going to happen... and no vinyl.

God, I hope his Good Morning America announcement says something more, because if it's about announcing

these 2 releases, I fail to see how that's a MEGA announcement. Maybe it's mega because it's been 3 to 4 years?

This is good news. Can't see it on UK iTunes yet but not worried as I don't really want to buy in iTunes quality. Hoping for some hi def files but regular lossless or a good old fashioned CD will be enough.

Can't see on Australia iTunes yet either. But I rarely buy iTunes anyway. Make mine a CD and I'll be happy. Would love a pre-ordr bonus but that doesn't seem to be on the cards.

I hope they at least mention the possibility of a PR remaster in the TV spot.

I've just ordered both albums (CD and MP3). I didn't get the 15% discount, and you have to pay for p&p. Still, for the first time in years, I am cautiously excited about a new release from Prince. He has a professional web store, for the first time in years (thanks, WB!)

The groove is nice, but it's no When Doves Cry. It lacks a strong melody and could be from any other recent r'n'b act out there. But it's not bad and is well produced.

Only the diehards already knew the info. This was for the general public and it's called good promotion.
