Wow! There was a time when I would have responded (in Prince's defnese) to this type of Cynicism. But given his pattern of botched promomtion opportunites and just not coming through with the goods, I can't defend. Hoping for something good, but I'm in the same boat as Fragile, I just can't get excited anymore with these teaser announcements. Hoping for good things, but wouldn't be surprised if it was a hyped up announcement for another dance party at Paisly Park for $25.00

I'm guessing 8am Eastern Time (U.S.). That's generally when they do the big guest. They could do it earlier.

Everyone in their right mind needs a "Purple Rain" re-master 2-Cd with bonus disc, and of course in better sound. I don't wanna hear otherwise, now that ain't a lie.....

on facebook I saw this headline:

"Prince is due to make a 'mega-announcement' on Good Morning America on Monday, apparently at 8:25am US time."

My guess is, we have to add 6 hours, to get the the time in Europe, about 2:25pm (about 14:25)..

LOL! Which is exactly WHY...it's damn certain that I am so not going to waste my energy on speculating nor hoping, wishing, praying...what=the-fuck-ever - this "major announcement" turns out to be.

Sometime Monday...I will find out what it is...one way or another...and respond absolutely accordingly.

Honestly the only thing I would consider a major announcement by him would be a Prince and the Revolution reunion tour which we all know ain't happening so Major is a little overhyped in my opinion. Nothing else he could announce will be major in the eyes of the general public nowadays.

I agree.My dream: 2014-2015 Purple Rain remastered with unreleased bonus tracks; Prince and the Revolution world tour; Brand new album by Prince and the Revolution; Blu-ray from the tour. This is my idea for a mega announcement.

As its Billed as Prince and 3rd Eye Girl announcement, Its most likley to be an announcement of Plectrum Electrum, perhaps a Pre-order announcement? Maybe an America tour.

I dont see Prince doing any promotion for the new Prince album and Purple rain myself (yet atleast) just due to the fact he doesnt seem happy with Warner Bros.

Here's my guess for what it's worth...GMA is filmed in NYC (?), I'm guessing a USA leg of the Hit n Run tour starting with a Hit n Run gig Monday night in NYC somewhere. I also think that he will be present at the VMAs where he will announce his next gig (ala Brits awards) & the USA leg of the Hit n Run will be on the road

I just realized what it is: Prince is going to perform Purple Rain with his band 3rd Eye Girl at the VMAs to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the album.

My revised guess: PE/DVD bundle available for immediate purchase + North American tour dates.

I'm not expecting an instant release but perhaps the announcement of a tour with the album to drop to coincide with the first date.

I noticed that I suffer from the Cry Wolf Syndrom.

I have seen so much teaes, incomplete pieces, promisses and 'farts-laced-with-a-bowtie' that I'm not thrilled at all. I tend to not care anymore and wait till it's in my player.
