I'm not trying to be funny or anything, but who is she? Was she part of a group or something?

Her career started as mainly a session singer, for a few of the EARLY hits on one of my favorite rappers "Fabolous"! Who she put on the map. She went on to sing runs on other rappers songs, like the multi triple threat, producer, extraordinaire Missy"Misdemeanor" Elliot! Who actually discovered her!! By becoming her protegee she landed her a recording contract deal with Electra Records!

She is a singer, songwriter, radio personality & record producer. She has a powerful voice. She also penned chart-topping hits for rapper/actor Ja Rule & was a session singer for many rnb & rap acts on chart topping singles.. She has had four studio albums and over FOURTEEN hit singles!

I do give credit when its do. She is multi talented. Even though she tried to diss my musical hero prince !

She paid dearly for it though. biggrin

I bet she won't do it again. biggrin

She is now one of the cast members on the head rolling, lip smacking & tongue lashing realty show RnB Divas. She also is the Mother of four by various ex husbands & baby daddies. biggrin She is NEVER without a man.( no surprise with those lips lol) She is currently dating a boxer. biggrin

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

I wonder if she ever filed a complaint with NOPD? She was acting like P sent the po-po after her or something. What did she think the twit-verse was gonna do for her anyway? lol

I'm started wondering if this actually happened to her, maybe it was to somebody she knows and she thought she was going to show of with rallying all her fans to a flame throwing contest at Prince. I think it backfired.

I wondered the same thing since one of the comments said that she had been taking selfies with fans before the brouhaha. Maybe she didn't have to go quite so bad after all. Manufacturing drama for her show blew up in her face big time.

Last year I was being immature and questioned the purpose of Lil Mo's choice of weaves. She then fired back by using her magical witchcraft powers to put a voodoo spell on me. I'm serious. She saw my tweet and told me I was going to die in 3 months. She doesn't impress me as being someone who has mental stability. Lil Mo doesn't deserve to be in Prince's atmosphere or the atmosphere of my fellow New Orlenians. #VoodooDAT

Yeah there seems to be more going on then what was said.
And I think sometimes folks skim read too much of the "fan" criticism of him without taking a closer look at the type of fans he has. Nah, sugah this isn't easy pickings.

That what I thought too. Mediatakeout is a gossip site, so there could be more speculation than fact when anything is reported on there. But, whatever the case, it served it's purpose with this story. This story is definitely extending its 15 minutes.

As I was saying before the glitch in the matrix, The thing that I find absolutely hilarious about the whole situation is the irony that barely two years ago our Princey declared the internet dead and now some d-lister is trying to drag him into some social media beef. lol

I never figured the blogosphere would get so much mileage out of this.

If she said all of that to get attention, then no this won't be the last time. For some, any publicity is better than none. And this incident definitely got a lot of people talking about her.

[EXCLUSIVE] Interview Lil...smineBRAND

Dynamite and I were walking and got held back by police and other security. My fiancé and I were like, ‘What’s going on we have all access passes? They told us to go this way’. The cop said, ‘You gotta stay here for like 2 minutes’. I said, ‘I have to go to the restroom, and if I pee on myself it’s gonna be some mess’. They blocked us from walking by because Prince was walking through. I was like, ‘Seriously!! are you kidding me. I’m not gonna even bother him’. I wont EEM [even] look at him — because I heard he doesn’t like people to look at him. Had that been his personal concert I would’ve been like ok — I feel you. But this is Essence. You have to be credentialed and invited or you not getting in. I think it was messed up. I don’t know who is to blame. I’m an artist too. Shade is, he wasn’t the ONLY artist that did that this weekend. It was too much for my mind to wrap around that people do that coming through clearing the way, like they Obama. C’mon. We are co-workers LOL.

Talk about having delusions of grandiose. I don't remember Lil' Mo ever working with Prince on any projects. lol

Anyway, I read an story about Stephanie Mills experience with the festival staff and it wasn't good. They will invite you to perform, but then treat you like shit unless you're a big name artist. I'm not surprise though, I mean, this is the same place where the topic of the women's enpowerment series was Blue Ivy's hair. smh.

yeah,I heard about Stephanie's problems with the Essence folks. She wrote this message on her facebook page:

Thank you to all of my fans who came out to see me at Essence. I’m Never performing there again. The people who run it are not nice people. They are mean, rude, disrespectful, unorganized and wouldn’t even let my people who worked on my show in (my hairdresser). They even told me that I wasn’t a big enough name to play the main stage. – Stephanie

She never claimed to have worked with Prince. She states that the performers are musicians, thus collegues.

And that it are only the musicians and their staf who are back stage. So, the extreme measures of Prince his security people, while back stage, seem to be a bit far stretched.

Don't spin her words in order to attack her.

She did not claim to ever have worked with him.

It isn't Mediatakeout's fault, they were her tweets for the world to see. I think she kept pushing to get somekind of personal acknowledgement from Prince, but it didn't happen. But yes, it's pretty much fizzled all it can fizzle.

If being the highest grossing Essence Festival of all time(do to prince 's MEGA appearance)! Not Charlie's. Plus attracting a whose who in entertainment is a hot mess. Then I'll take it! Plus it made prince's purple bank account a few more million richer. After only two hours of work!! Not bad huh.. biggrin

I'm simply going off the link that SoulAlive posted. If the comment posted here is copied word-for-word, then she is quoted to say "co-worker", not colleague. Yes, there are instances where the words colleague and co-worker can be used interchangably. But, you would need to know in what context did she mean it. Is there a different link where she said colleague?

.

She's saying "coworker" as in they're both in the music industry and they're both stars. She couldn't understand why he got such special treatment backstage and why she was treated the way she was because she's in the music industry also which would make them "coworkers" in a sense.

.

If she were someone along the lines of Stevie Wonder or Nile Rodgers, I would agree with her because they would be more like "coworkers" to Prince than she would be. I don't know if she can sing or not, but even if she can sing, I'd put Frankie "Double Dutch Bus" Smith more on Prince's level because even though he can't sing, he at least had enough good sense to put actual music behind his voice rather than Fisher Price toys.

You've got me cracking up with the Fisher Price toys comment! From now on, I'm not going to be able to listen to any of her songs without thinking of the white multi-colored key xylophone that I use to play on when I was little. lol lol lol
