Of his current singers it sounds like Elisa. Reminds me of Bria's backing vocals from the Planet Earth record, though.

What happened to his album deal with EPIC RECORDS? I thought the new material would still be with Epic, while he licensed his ancient music through Warner Bros.

Prince's business dealing with L.A Reid and Epic Records up until this point was just to distribute "FALLINLOVE2NITE".

Fantastic song. Did Prince force Warner to release it in super bad quality, so that he can release it himself with alot better sound in the future? What's up with the quality? I can do million times better mastering in my bedroom :/ it sounds like it's done on purpose. Cause no legendary musician would release this by an accident. Even in the loudness wars we are witnessing, this is not acceptable. All EDM tracks I've heard that have almost no dynamics, still have better sound quality than this. This is weird. However one of his greatest songs in a good while.

I AGREE! The question I have: Is this a new track or something from the vault?

Sounds like it could've been written in the "gold experience" era.

Always thought that too. It's the bassline reminiscent of that era.

Glad everyone thought this too! Wonderful track though!

So P relasing a song that isn't utterly abysmal on first listen is now reason for yelling "best song ever"? Really? Nobody noticed the rather pathetic lyrics? And the sound is just awful, with the pathetic sound effects and the brickwalled mastering.

What I do know is: I say wag-of-the-finger to prince. I had to jump through two thousand hoops in order to listen to his new tune in a kin streaming fashion. Imma pay for a copy as soon as he allows me to. U try to give a nickel a dime and he makes u waste time.

How is the qualiy any worse than Fallinlove2nite Pretelbodylogic etc? Everything for years has been over amplified with nasty distortion.

Still loving this.. first time in a long while I've been this enthused about a Prince track, and I generally like most of his recent material.

That said, I agree with all the comments about the poor mastering. I can only hope that when there is actual physical product available (assuming there will be), it will sound better.

V10LETBLUES

I like the song. I love the live recording.

I hate to keep sounding negative and it gets old, but the production. The out of nowhere lasers. Lasers? Out of the blue for such a pretty song?

It wouldbe nice if Prince hired a producer to bounce ideas around with is all I am saying.

So literal.

Like Prince has never given us a "God" song in a secular wrapper?
