How can you say that with his single

steamrolling up the charts?

i doubt the single will be on the album.

i just feel deflated with the new album.

.

On his singles discography page on Wikipedia Fix Ur Life Up, Pretzelbodylogic, Screwdriver and Fallinluv2nite are all listed as being on the PE album? confused Of the four, only two have charted and only in the UK.. Has there ever been an album with three unsuccessful singles (and a possible fourth, we have to see what FIL2N is gonna do) before the album was even finished? I love P but he needs to get in the studio and pull himself together! He's not losing his ability he's just uninspired, I suppose, and I dont mind admitting that it's really frustrating. sigh

We'll see MJ's new album way before Plectrum Electrum. lol

[Edited 3/31/14 9:58am]

The release date 4 MJ's album is may 13th, so Prince will probably wait until summer (june/july) with Plectrum. Its sad, he had "the perfect timing"around superbowl with the new girl episode and then the London shows. I think he screw up a bit

I think you might be right he did miss good timing. But I think he will probably relase it in May though too. In the MOJO interview there was a future date on a picture of a card, on Page 85 that said "Guest List" then "Prince" then "5/2/14" ???? Anyone else notice the date?? Opinions??

That date is written for the UK. Which means it was 2/5/14 for us in the US. I saw that too and had to remember I was reading a British magazine.

In the UK, like a lot of the world, dates begin with the day first, then month. Mojo, being British, is referring to February 5th, 2014 (which, of course, is history). Please get an education.

I think they were caught by surprise with the 'demand' for the New Girl song and the album would be out now if that hadn't happened. So maybe once the song is dead (any day now) they will get back on track and release it probably with another single release as PRETEZELBODYLOGIC was a bit of a letdown - should of released that with a proper video and after the New Girl tune as the sound of that one is so totally different from what he has been promising with 3RDEYEGIRL.

Oh well, shoulda woulda coulda biggrin

With Liv Warfield's release as well, he seems to like to give his associated lot a bit of breathing room with their stuff before putting music out.

Well, if you don't know the difference to begin with, you would have no reason to check it. So, this brings us back to education.

I wish I never heard 20Ten.

Old man is losing it.

Speak for yourself, to me 20ten was a great album.

It was so great Prince couldn't be arsed to release it worldwide.

It was so great Prince gave it away for free with newspapers.

It was so great prince never toured the album.

It was so great no artist ever bothered to record a cover of one of its songs.

Yes, who could have thunk a song featured on a TV show shown after a wildly popular sports event would be "in demand"?

.

Gotta love how famz defending Prince only end up pointing out how immensely incompetent his organisation is.

.

and the album would be out now if that hadn't happened.

.

The album should have been out months ago, but it was clear that P had lost interest in 3EG after the failed club tour and reverted to his NPG bollox and added a completely useless big band to be slightly less bored when playing his 25+ year old hits.

.

And he got a hard-on for some barely out of her teens dancer and gave her money to make a stupid video for an old track that had gotten some good sales numbers on one of his own half-assed official websites.

.

And then that turned out to be equally unsatisfying and somehow he got a brainfart to re-try 3EG but now by doing a bunch of hyped-up gigs in London and attempting to get some press and pretending the album was gonna be out "soon".

.

So maybe once the song is dead (any day now) they will get back on track and release it probably with another single release as PRETEZELBODYLOGIC was a bit of a letdown

.

A song so great Prince couldn't even be arsed to rehearse it before doing the 3EG UK tour and instead played the studio version and a remix over the PA. That's how great a band 3EG are: they can't even play their own fucking tunes, you know, the ones they recorded live in the studio.

Well we all know you got to get at least one dumb post a week, so I guess this was it.. Appreciation of music is subjective, hence I said "to me". If you learned to read you wouldn't require people correcting you everytime you open your mouth.

And 1) he got paid for it so as far as he was concerned he didn't need to release it worldwide, and it wasn't free for HIM; 2) no artists has bothered to record covers of 95% of his songs, so what was your point again? The majority of his music isn't known by the mass public, especially little released after 94.

Change it one more time..

I went to a couple of the 3rdeyegirl gigs in London and after seeing him and the girls in action I can happily report the"old man" is not losing it, they were loud, funkin, rockin, and having a lot of fun. Donna Grantis was chatting on Twitter a week or so ago as the band were listening back to both digital and analogue (vinyl) versions of the album, the vinyl won by a mile, so I tweeted and got this back, so don't give up yet.
