Well, yes i agree. I deal with them on a daily basis and most are unintelligible morons. It's only getting worse. I honestly believe humanity peaked pre-internet. Hopefully the large hadron collider will blink us all out of existance at the opportune moment.

Pharrell introduced his song Happy last year, but no one caught on. Now into another year it's all over the radio. Two different songs, but there's always that slight chance Fallinluv2nite may eventually catch on.

FallInLove2nite continues to grow slowly on at least three formats (Top 40 Mainstream, Urban, Hot Adult Contemporary), and decreasing airplay on three other formats (Urban AC, Top 40 Rhythm, Adult Contemporary).

• It is currently at #34 in the Urban AC format with 116 spins, with an decrease of 8 spins.
• It is currently at #88 in the Top 40/Rhythm format with 86 spins, with a decrease of 29 spins.

I said this in a earlier post. "Happy" was the lead song in the hit movie Despicable Me 2 last summer. It is just now catching on. With the right promotion "FallnLuv2nite" can be another Prince hit!

Hit or not a hit...at least Fallinlove2nite got played more than any other Prince single since

the most beautiful girl in the world and this a success...

A video or this song does not smell top 40 in the U.S. Sigh....

Can we please stop trying to latch on to someone else's chart hit with the thinking "IF ONLY HE" we have been doing this since prince's last crossover hit 20 years ago which was "Most Beautiful Girl" sorry people PRINCE's last cross over hit single was two decades ago, when Kurt Cobain was still alive, Mariah Carey was still recording songs that mattered, Cd's actually were selling, the internet was a baby, and music and radio was still an importance to people. So stop saying this song can be a hit with Promotion and catch fire just like Pharrell did, stop trying to make PRINCE into the next "fluke" hit, give it up, whats next, "Oh Prince can sell if he does a record with Adele, then goes on Oprah and does a special, then does a week on Jimmy Fallon, then does a give away at radio etc...." LET IT GO. He releases music and it goes where it goes case closed, you are talking about a 55 year old man that does not care about some kind of "fluke" hit again, if he did, he'd do PURPLE RAIN 2 the movie, release it same day, release the soundtrack same day, do a world tour with those artists, get in the bath tub again and do "When Doves Cry (2014)mix" let it go, its never gonna happen.

And don't forget Black Sweat. A lot of my friends who are not Prince fans knew it and told me. It was quite popular. And that made me happy, because it's a good song, unlike this terrible Fallinlovewhatever.

Prince must care at least a little about at least getting it out there because he let Epic Records promote it. And something worked at least a little because some stations added the song and a few more out there might follow suit. I don't think the song being a hit is going to rock Prince's world THAT much...he has got the attention span of a pre-schooler who just ate a bag of Halloween Candy when it comes to projects these days. Some of us who follow the charts and miss the days when Prince had at least one Top 10 every year for a decade care more than Prince does. But IF Prince did care a lot, if he had a video out there, if he had released the song right after the Super Bowl, an IF here or there and this is the closest that Prince would have come to the Top 40 in a long time. And that does have some significance.

I am just enjoying the ride.

anyone who wants to see the song be a decent hit, it's pretty easy. Find whatever stations near you that are playing it already, call them and request sometime during each DJ shift. I count 25 statioons above. Enough requests to get it played just one more time a day on each station would add 175 spins in a week. That may be enough momentum to get it added to a few more stations.

Reqesting it on the stations already playing it will have better results than requesting it on stations that aren't playing it.

Back up to 351 on US Amazon, up from 458 yesterday. Say this for the song, at least on the US Amazon chart it is showing some resilience. I wonder how many units sold it takes to move up and down the charts like this. Compared to Pretzelbodylogic at number 3237 it has to be moving some significant numbers. Conversely I wonder if that means like 2 people bought PBL and 500 or 1000 biugh FIL2N. For that matter, I guess who the heck cares, just neat to see that everytime FIL2N looks like it is going to catapult down below 500 on the Amazon Chart it leaps back up.
