Prince will release some kind of album this year but Plectrum electrum has gone through so many changes lately and still does so when Its time 4 a release it won't be just a rock oriented 3rdeyegirl album anymore, he will also probably change the name of it as well. Because it might change. Either because the label might not like it enough or perhaps now that P has extra time to work on it he might swap songs out. Or add some `production` Or just be bored and forget about it. Etc

Maybe he has a new trackilisting and wants to make some changes to make it feel more cohesive. But if he's actually going to rerecord ALL the tracks from scratch, then yes...it's a little ridiculous. If it breaks when it bends, you better not put it in. | |

Whatever the reason for delaying things, the hype has gone, the waiting has become tedious and whatever is released, if it is released, is going to be an anticlimax. He just needs to ask Axl Rose how the much anticipated Chinese Democracy fared.

I hope for now on Prince won't make anymore press releases, until he knows for sure that the deal is done and everything is ironed out. It's better to just go without a new album, than to have an official announcement about one and then never have it come out. [Edited 4/3/14 5:27am] | |
