I guess I'm one of the few fans who actually prefers the studio version of "Days Of Wild" I see nothing wrong with it,at all.I like the stipped-down,hip hop feel of it.I think it's the most convincing rap song that Prince has ever done.

I also think the perfect opening track would be "Hide The Bone".Imagine if the album began with that hardcore funk masterpiece! And then he follows it up with "Days Of Wild"!! Release it in the summer of '94 and it would have created quite a ruckus!

Totally agree, and Calhoun Square is like a thousand times better than "Now".
It would have really made the album unforgetable.

I'd really only want DoW on the album if P had recorded a live version before the album was released and put that live version on there. The studio versions don't have much punch.

This is an unpopular opinion,but here goes

Prince should have shelved Come...kept it in the vaults

Instead,in the summer of 1994,he should have released The Gold Experience,with the original tracklist.It's a superior album in every way and it would have made more of an impact in 1994.People would have been going nuts over songs like "Days Of Wild" and "Acknowledge Me".And even "Love Sign" could have been included.Coming off a huge hit with "TMBGITW",there is no way that this album could have failed.

Come didn't make much of a splash.The mainstream ignored it.Prince would have been riding high in the summer/fall of 1994,if TGE had been out around that time.Most of these songs were still "new" to fans.When the album was finally released a year later (in late 1995),the only song most of us hadn't already heard was "Shy".

I LOVE this version of Chaos and Disorder!! Removing the total clunkers (I Rock...and Right the Wrong) and adding tracks 5, 9 and 10

I don't think Acknowledge Me works on Gold, though. I would also try to add P.Control somewhere in your version.

If anything,this thread demonstrates that Prince had no shortage of great songs during this period (1993/94).That was a very productive time for him.
