This song is so smoove, I can't help but think all his blacks matched that day. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Maybe in your mind, but then again, you probably think that 'The Gold Experience' is one of his best albums... Act of God sounds like the crap Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross were doing in the late '80s.

Good ear, I think you're probably right. And... who else?

Yeah, got it. So, the confirmation for my account came to my email. The download link went to my wife's email because hers is the one connected to our paypal account. The thing is, my email that I used to set up my account is the only email I have given to 3rdEyeGirl, and it's the one they've sent EVERY. OTHER. EMAIL. TO. The only emails I've gotten at my wifes address are the ones Paypal sends. I asked 3rdEye's support why they sent the link to her address but haven't received a response yet. Not dead, not in prison, still funkin'...

Now this is closer to a real Prince song. It's got some serious groove cred. going for it and that trademark Prince Groove outtro that's been missing for like years...

Exactly!
It has some elements that lead you to believe that it could be a classic, then it kind of drifts into something....else.....

My 3rdEyeGirl account is in my name, but Paypal's in my wife's--the same email for both, but of three emails from 3rdEyeTunes, 2 emails used her name (only the account confirmation was to me). The Paypal was (which I understand), but so were the order confirmation and the download link.

Don't know what some of y'all are listening to...But this sounds like a good Prince song to me...
Cool groove...cool breakdown....Even the horns work here (better than the "Extraloveable" re-working)...

reminds me of the song of the heart. i like the terance trent darby voice. favorite part is the last 20 seconds, he leaves you wanting and expecting more. the song has potential.

"We've got the groovy potential.." "Get up so we can get down..." "Your body's like a movie..." Am I listening to the same song y'all are listening to, because for the life of me I can't see how this is a good song, at all. And no, I'm not comparing it to the Revolution era nor any other. On its on it simply is a mediocre 7 minutes of light jazz pop with uninteresting, cliche lyrics and simple melodies. It's MUZAK. But hey, elevators need new music too.

I like it. It's a nice change of pace. Fat late 1970's snare and all.
I feel a slight vibe of "Song of the Heart" and "Everywhere" with this one. "Hey, I got the butta 4 ya muffin, honey.. I'm just 2 old 2 hold the knife!"
