pretty much I've decided a long time ago that,Prince is simply a prick.In order for me to enjoy his music,I have to separate his prickish behavior from his music.It's not an easy thing to do,but I try my best.

There's a reason none of his past ties/associates have a relationship with the man (save Larry G, of course) and he burns through all of his personal relationships in a couple of years. If you look at others who have been in the industry so long, some, like Springsteen, have maintained very strong, long-lasting ties with people. I think we just get glimpses of the ugly every now and again, like this nasty attack on a nice fan. It makes me better understand why Prince is so alone. Who would want to risk an attack like that? Perhaps he's a world-class narcissist -- in the strictest definition. Would prefer to just listen to the music and ignore the bad behavoir, but it's always popping up, isn't it? Funny how this thread has overshadowed discussion of all three Montreux gigs by bounds. The very definition of bad PR.

Serpan is getting exactly what he wanted all along, to be noticed by Prince(or whoever handles his sites, web presence, etc). When he got singled out he probably couldn't believe it finally happened. Nobody is tracking Prince's every move and regurgitating it without the hope of being noticed on some level. That's how Funkenberry started. Does he do it out of love? I don't know. But as we've learned on here and through past events when a fan tries to make a name for themselves off of Prince it usually doesn't end well for them. As for Serpan helping Prince promote his music, 3EG or whatever he's only preaching to the choir. We all already know where the sites are and if you can find the ORG then you have any info you could possibly need for leads as to what's going on right now. I've managed to be a good Prince fan for almost 30 years without Pers book, Serpans posts or being in someone's inner circle getting bootlegs under the table. While I can't say for sure what Serpan's entire motivation is for doing what he does, I do believe that his main purpose is to search for and provide information to us fans especially in cases where it is not readily available elsewhere. He is providing a service to the fans - not necessarily to Prince.

In response to your point about being able to find whatever information you need on the Org...who do you think has provided a LOT of that exact information? I don't believe the Org gets anything directly from Prince or his peeps.

actually me too. This is the first I heard of this and what a jerk PRince is. I remember in Vegas after one of the shows I was selling some stuff on this website. I got contacted for a trade. Next thing I know I got a few live cds from the show I had attended. Not sure who sent it to me and I don't want to say any names but I had wondered about it and had no idea if Prince knew about it. I mean, I was happy but at the same time I knew it was kind of wrong. Eventually I guess if the word gets out to Prince, you get caught. People really need to stop paying attention to him. After all these years you would think fans would have learned that lesson, if nothing else.

Whoever owns this website should also shut it down. It's become a forum of MJ lovers/Prince haters. Oh wait, it's been that way for years now.

This is all just one person's opinion. And no, I have nothing against Serpan - he's probably a nice guy. 3EG really got the point across in the live chat and I think that was their final goal. Have to agree. Serpan wanted more than just to report and give information. He was twittering personally all the time to his manager Kiran Sharma, to the 3rdeyegirls and more. Then he was upset when Yester7 got the invitation to the concert and all the recognition he got from the prince camp. That was the first time he said he is thinking about not to continue tweeting etc....

The thing prince did on the chat (i think it was Prince himself) , was quite rude, thats for sure...

but at least it was honest....

I'm not even sure this is the case, his main problem always seems to be a massive paranoia that people who aren't him are making money out of his image/music/whatever. It's a legit worry but he always blows it so out of proportion.
