The intro kind of reminds me of the intro of the Original 7 Party Girl song,

but that's probably because that song reminded me of some prince song.

"Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"
__ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ ___

"Midnight is where the day begins"

Of course, let me think........its patch number 85.....no of course I can 't rememeber the number of the patch without going and turning on my studio computer and to be honest as I can't be arsed. Howverer, if you are questionaing how I would know this piece of information, the answer is because I am a studio engineer and the soft synth in question is the Native Instruments Pro 53 which is an emulator of the Profit 5 synth from the early 80's. Furthermore, I have had both the hardware synth and the softsynth and still use the softsynth to this day. I now use the sof synth solely because its easier than lugging around a big piece of kit. In short I know what I'm talking about!!!!!!!

Rant over! Does that answer your question.....thank you!

[Edited 1/23/13 6:15am]

No, it doesn't answer my question.

The synthesizer you are referring to is the Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 (not "Profit 5"). I have hard time believing you have owned it if you are not even able to spell its name correctly.

Apologies for my hastey response with the said typo. But caliing me a liar over a misspelling is a little unkind...and if you can't hear it in the track, you are either deaf or just talking out of your arse! I supsect its a combo of the two!

When the above video started at first I thought, "what is that?" Then the Proclaimers come in! Lol, it's not unlike it melodically actually!! The Proclaimers are legends & it's a classic song!
Hey, I would walk 500 miles to see Prince! lol

I'm sure chewymusic is right here. Vavoom has that very similar guitar riff after the "Va-va-voom, va-va-voom, va-va-voom"

I know that looks silly written down but it's the specific part where Prince sings that three times, then does a little guitar riff.

A cross between Guitar and No More Candy 4 U ...only more lifeless and annoying...lol. Sorry, I don't like it. Maybe I will give it a dozen more spins like RNR (which I grew to like-I think)

It's something, though, because even medicore Prince songs "back then" were at least "memorable" and compelling in some way. Now, the vast majority of these one-off tracks he's produced (since Lotus) have no real body or shape or consistent hook.
