Here are my big 3

1. I actually think that Under The Cherry Moon was his best movie. Primarily because he seemed more real in that movie. The other two he acted so pitiful and it got a little annoying to me.

2. He is ONE of the reasons why I am very, very interested in becoming a Jehovah Witness. The change in him is so inspiring to me

3. Lastly, I believe Prince is human just like you and I. I belive he doesn't do the splits anymore not only cause he doesn't want to but also because at nearly 55 years of age he probably can't go down or pop back up as quickly as he used to. And I believe he MAY wear a wig or have extentions because baldness is genetic and it happened to his father. Of course I could be wrong.

i think your second confession is both brave and honest.

Yeah I know it might be kinda weird of me to want to change my religion or faith because of someone I have never met. But like I said he is not the only reason, but I see that he has changed from the person he used to be and I like it, and he attributes that to his faith so I am very interested.

I have another confession...

I am still partying like it is 1999 in 2013!!! I LOVE that song and it will never get old to me.

I do not have the need to hear each and every little snippet of Prince music.

If there are 5 versions to a song, it had better be a freaking outstanding song, even then, whatever.

I don't think all Prince songs are outstanding. That is not limited to Purple & Gold type songs.

I have no desire to hear about great things to come that never do come.

I love it when Prince has great musicians and singers playing with him, but I do not have a need to know everything about them or every bit of music by them.

I go to Prince concerts to see Prince, not the others on stage with him.

Agreed lol

The Rainbow Children is one of my favorite album.

I think his first two albums sounds awful!

Brave and honest? What a stupid and silly thing to say! It sounds rather disturbing to me that someone wants to join a religion, or should I say a CULT, because his/her favorite pop star is part of it!

TRC is okay, still far from the classics in the 80's.

I love the 2 first albums, deeply.

lol You know, every time I hear that I think to myself, "Who the fuck gets that excited about The Ride??"

My confession is that I stole Prince's guitar pick and setlist that was grip-taped next to his mic stand at a '94 Love Experience gig when I was 18. I'm not proud of it, yet I don't regret it. I almost stole a bottle of spray he was using on his fretboard throughout the show but I stopped myself.

Like Schlomo, a confession about steeling Prince stuff:

I once stole the fat box 2-cd-cover, to the Sign O' The Times cd's in my local shop. I had bought those 2 cd's earlier in a different cover, 2 "normal" jewel cases. And without the sticker.

I am not proud but I had to have the fat box with the lightblue heart sticker - instead of the 2 seperate cd jewel cases.

It's not okay, so... no I can't justify it.... boxed

It's my voice that is heard screaming like a woman at the beginning of "the Ride" wich was released on the Crystal Ball compilation. It was recorded at a summer show at Paisly Park. I was 4 feet from Prince's mic. The fact is, at the time I thought the song was really weak. A standard blues-by-numbers bit that was boring. But I guess I was really excited to be at the show. The first time I heard it on Crystal Ball, I was literally speechless for half a day. Thinking: "I'm on a Prince album...". Some combination of wanting to brag and being extremely embarassed.

This was pretty good. Not "shocking", but certainly funny.

I am finding the fake 3rdEyeGirl witchhunt contrived and dull.

I cant stand the Alphabet street video, and the song is meh.

LOVE the Animal Kingdom song.

I dont like the Foefur remasters they are tinny sounding and flat.

Thanks Maxi, for being so nice about it. As I said he was ONE of the reasons. Its like seeing a friend of yours after a long time and he/she has lost weight and looking and feeling bette, and they tell you that they used Weight Watchers and you too were interested in losing weight you too would become interested in Weight Watchers right?

Unlike others on here you didn't insult me Maxi about a difficutt time that I am going through right now. I don't want to get too far into this on this topic but there were things in the other faith I was in that I didn't agree with and now that I have done my research there are things in JW that I don't agree with. But there are also things in both that I do. So right now I am not going to be apart of any faith. I am just gong to stick with God

Back to topic:

I don't think I have heard as many songs as the majority of you have. I am really bad on looking at the lyrics first and if the lyrics don't move me or aren't interesting I don't listen to the song. I want to change cause Prince is he best musician I have ever heard and I know most of his songs probably sound good.

I want him to be in another movie

I find the whole pimp cane, pimp suit, and pimp slang rediculous on Prince. And the whole "wrecka stow" type talk he's done for years. It works well for Morris because it looks natural on him and even though the whole Morris persona was Prince's creation, it doesn't work well for Prince. It just looks like he's copying Morris.

LOLS! Yes, I know. Prince makes me excitable, and he was right there! And the way the song song starts, you think maybe he's about to really get down or something, but he just ends up Chicago blues-ing it.

I've been to three Prince concerts and, frankly, found them all rather boring. confused When he was in Toronto in November 2011, I had dinner with friends who'd come up from the United States for the show, dropped them off at the venue, and headed home to soak in a hot bath.

I have not been to a Prince concert since 1997 (Jam of the Year tour). He has played my town many times since then, but I didn't want to go see him.

I saw the Lovesexy show in 1988 and it was the most amazing concert I have ever seen. The shows that I have seen after '88 didn't impress me as much.

I went to the "Jam Of The Year" concert in 1997 mainly because it was the first time he had come back to Jackson since he was here in 1980 with Rick James and I didn't get to go to that one which I was dying to see. I figured the concert in 1997 would probably be my only time to see him live so I wasn't about to miss it. I had the best time of my life. Not that the show was so great because it was just average, but because of the thrill of finally seeing Prince live after all these years and also being so close in the fourth row.

I saw him again at the "Musicology" concert in 2004 in Louisiana. By this time, it was still a great show, nothing spectacular though, but the thrill was not nearly as great after already seeing him once and this time I was way up in the stands and out of town.

If he goes on tour again, I won't be seeing him unless he comes directly to Jackson (which I doubt) because I sure don't have that type of money to spend on the expenses of going out of town and a hotel room. And even if he comes directly to Jackson, I won't be spending big money to get up close and if there aren't any tickets for around $50 (which would still be pushing my budget), I won't be going either because money is just to tight these days. There was a time in my life where I would spent my last dime to go to a nearby Prince concert but those days are over. Like BB King says "The Thrill Is Gone".

I will like (and defend) a song because it is written, composed, arranged and performed by PRINCE(who walks on water in my eyes) and not I like the song and that just happens to be written by Prince. It is an inverse relationship... If Prince doesn't sing it, I probably don't like it. The logical derivation does not apply as noted in my earlier post, just because Prince sings it, doesn't mean I will like it.
