OK, I listened to "It". Volume was all the way up!

It was great. Not a masterpiece for me, but great nonetheless. Prince had so much going on underneath the mix. I listed to the entire album side, which also included "Hot Thing". In both songs he does this little scat thing for a couple bars. So cool.

And there's this awesome keyboard breakdown in "Hot Thing". So great to hear that again.

I don't know that I rate "Sign 'O the Times" as Prince's best album ever, but he sure was at a level of funk unmatched by many, ever.

I'm really surprised at how much love IT is getting! Over the years people on here have said how bad it was. I've always loved IT! Glad it's getting the love it deserves.

It is a lovely track, but kinda sounds a bit more like an incredible idea than a song. It kinda doesn't go nowere. But to me that's cool. Cause the intensity of the desperate vocals makes up for it and gives it almost a creepy feel in a good way. I love it, but I can see why some don't. It's not for everyone, and clearly not the track you show a non fan if you want to convert haters into lovers.

And if it's consistently down on the pools, I hope it's at least before Hot Thing and Slow Love (both terribly weak lyrics - and melody, for me, specially the later), the two songs I can't care about on SOTT. Even though I love all the other songs.
