My advise to those who hate "the haters", in case you care:

Just like (love) what you like (love), about Prince's songs.

and dislike (hate) what you dislike (hate).

imo, it impossible to like (love) every Prince track he has ever written.

Some are excellent (obviously) and some ---- are really crap songs.

I bet we all at least can agree on these songs:

Purple & Gold,

Jughead,

Graffiti Bridge (song),

Da Da Da,

Wedding Feast,

etc... those are crap/ not especially good songs.... right?

and still in case we can't agree on that:

what is the problem in case I (and others) don't like (hate) these songs... ?

It's called "different opinions" isn't it.. ?

or am I totally wrong.. why should I absolutely LOVE every track just because it was Prince who wrote it/ those..... confused

eye can understand why Prince is catering to his overseas following with releasing RNR Love Affair over there. Because he knows his US following are too unappreciative. So he has given Andy his new "MasterPieces" to handle over here.

Prince has not released "Rock and Roll Love Affair" overseas.

IMO, it's 50-50 that he ever will.

But it will be that's all that matters. I can't wait till Ryan Seacreat announces that the song is a top 10 hit to shut the majority on this site up...

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

You shouldn't. Unless you're mental.

However, you will be reported. You can't go around saying things like you did about those songs. "crap/ not especially good songs"? What a ridiculous statement.

They're feckin diabolical songs. All of em. Since you pointed out GB (The song) I was gonna say just sling the album. Then I looked at what's on it... Not much. There's only 3 songs on it for me with Melody Cool for a fluffer. Some would prolly chuck in Thieves In The Temple too? I'm not. I'm a hater potato. Cheesy lyrics. meh.

Graffiti Bridge content with substance:

The Question of U

We Can Funk (Brought in off the bench so doesn't count)

Joy In Repetition (Brought in off the bench so doesn't count)

Melody Cool

Still Would Stand All Time

What about "Round & Round"? The hit song "MasterPiece" that Prince wrote for Tevin.Which was a success on both the pop and R&B charts peaking at #12 on the Hot 100 and #2 on the US R&B chart.

That doesn't make us less adamant prince fans it makes us more adamant.

You speak for yourself mate. I'm not an Adam Ant Prince fan and you're not "more Adam Ant". It doesn't even make sense. Adam Ant was shit anyway. Last I heard of him he was tryin to shoot up a boozer or something in Kentish Town trying to work out why he was so shit. He was going mental... Same here, you might say, and I'd agree with ya. Course I would and I'd stand and deliver too.

Seriously, I don't agree with Rod Hull, apart from the fact that he lived up the road from me and spent far too much of his time with his hand up a stuffed bird (Not always a bad thing) and not enough time reading his TV manual before the Man U game, but he, or she, on this site, in this thread, I think, is talking wankstains. (No offense) "And here's why"... rolleyes

I don't like much of Ps post 90 (I'm being a bit generous) stuff but I think he's written, played and recorded some fuckin crackers since then too. Course he's got it in him. I've got an opinion on it, all of us have. Some of us have been into his stuff for yonks, some of us just stumbled on some of it yesterday. Lucky them, I say.

I might think most of the stuff he's put out lately aint up to much but I give a fuck at the same time. Why? It's not just the time and the money I've spent but maybe I think he's a funky mf? Maybe I've based that opinion on listening to shitloads of his stuff? Don't ask me, you didn't, I know, ok.

Everyones opinion is as valid as yours or mine is. It might sound like a load of bollocks, as mine prolly does to you but it's there. I'm not here just to stab at fuckwits for no reason. There's plenty of places to take the piss. Look up Godboard.knobs or something, there's plenty to fuck about with.

Why would people be here pissing and moaning about P but knowing their stuff while they're at it? They must have got really into it at some point to be bothered, surely? There's some pretty well informed whingers on here when you look.

I'd never heard the term "Hater" til I got near this place. Sounds a bit wanky in the first place to me but if I'm a 'hater' cos I don't like the shit he's been churning out when he can be arsed then so be it.

I think R& Rse is a load of old bollocks and it is. That's the most recent thing of Princes right? I'm drawing no comparisons by any stretch but when I first bought ATWIAD I thought it was bollocks too. I only liked Raspberry Beret and I took it back to the shop and got my money back. Literally.

After a week or so I thought I'd better have it and went back and bought it again. I still thought most of it was shit but it was growing on me. It wasn't what I was expecting after PRain but it was good stuff the more you listened to it.

Today, there isn't a song on the album I don't like. It's a classic album to me and was bold as fuck at the time. To others, it's the biggest let down piece of shit he ever released and they might well say so. Why would they be bothering if they weren't into P though and who's to say who's right or wrong?

I've posted stuff here gushing about how fuckin great he's been and I've pissed and moaned about some other stuff. I wouldn't be posting anything at all if I didn't give a monkeys now would I? I'm quite happy with him doing what he wants, changing, trying new shit on us and tryin it on himself. I'd more than encourage it, who wouldn't? I'm not gonna love everything he does cos he does though. If he drops a few pearls and it gets my head nodding I'm gonna get fonky. If it's a sack of pants I'm gonna piss and moan.

One of the best gigs I was at he sang some absolute blinders from 6ft away from us. Cock-Eyed girl included. At the same gig he sang fuckin 9 Million Bicycles. what am I sposed to say to that? Nine million bicycles my arse.

Now I'm off to JesusLovesChristmasAnok4u2.com for some relaxation. I'll waste another hour tapping bollocks onto their site cos I couldn't give a shit and I'm some kind of 'troll'.

(I'm not really, I'm an oven, but only on Sundays).

P.S. I'm in the UK and as far as I'm concerned you can keep R&Rse for a coaster.

*This post in no way endorses any and all comparisons or affiliations with R&Rse and ATWIAD.*

you're gonna be a big star, you're gonna get a record deal....i like you (i'm not gay or owt).
