Did I just hear Prince curse at the 2:15 mark? "hooker, bitch and ho'/I don't think so". Maybe he has loosensed his stance on swearing, which perplexes me because throughout the jam he self-censors himself.

It also sounds like Bootsy Collins guested on bass. Listen to the bass line and think of "Up For The Down Stroke" and "Mothership Connection".

I swear he said "witch" neutral I'm still surprised he said ho though .. Unless he said "oh" & we're getting excited over nothing lol

days of wild has some pretty good lyrics but prince still can't rap .. this is like a medley of all of prince worst and cheesiest rap attempts and chants .. if he found away to sing days of wild it would be a thousand times better .. gett off worked because he sung it .. prince spoken word should be hiim whispering gay poetry into jeromes ear and nothing else .. get some falsetto and melody involved and this could have been a huge prince hit .. as a rap .. its worse than the worst rap from the 80;s as for the whole track ... seems to be yet another ... yawn ... one chord jam that he sings parts of all the other songs over ... the best part is when he kicks into the very melodic get wild bridge .. but then it reverts back to just a one chord jam again .. i guess it would be fun live .. sans the rapping .. but i don't think more than one listen is neccessary .. and even that one listen is pretty monotonous ..

in other news .. i make stupid mix tapes for myself .. this one had small club on it and i used screams of passion and feline from the feline rehearsal .. and when doves cry from the mutiny roadhouse performance .. to tape over the lame people without and boni boyer on down home and cold sweat .. let me say .. i can no longer stand bonie .. at the end of forever in my life she litterally sounds like she is barfing into the microphone .. barf .. seriously .. barf .. its all flem and dinner coming back up .. so here i am listening to the revolution jam on screams interspersed with the small club highlights like housequake and just my imagination .. and i have to say .. now more than ever do I believe the revolution was the best prince ever got ... especially during the purple rain era .. clumsily getting thru screams sounds better than shiela e and those guys on the legendar small club gig ... it just becomes painfully obvious when placed side by side .. the revolution was a band .. a real band .. a band that truly delivered .. prince has not touched it since .. not even with the sheila band on sott and lovesexy tours .. and since then its gone down hill ... prince has had a lot of good ideas since then but i think had he stuck to the revolution prince legacy would be stomping all over bruce, madonna, u2, tom petty and all the other folks from his era who can still sell records ..

well 20 minutes and to long ass paragraphs prince has officially clusterfucked my brain .. he joint to jointed like 7 songs on this jam .. as in he's trying to sing them all at the same time .. still one fucking chord .. the girl singers do alright here and there but still sound like a bar band ..

J'adore ca! Tres funky... I don't know these songs and now I can get into them. Lots of little sounds and changes everywhere. Yeah, I could just foodnow it!

Merci beaucoup Prince and the NPG.

That may be the 1st time I've ever heard Prince play 2 loop for that long.

Paint by numbers. Perhaps Prince should give D'angelo's Bonnaroo super jam a listen and comeback stronger.

And he REALLY needs to get rid of those girls. It all just sounds like they're a Prince cover band. disbelief

oh please, this is some funky assed shit. If someone had said it's the 94/95 NPG you'd be creamin' your pants.

Hardly. But I at least do agree with your assessment of the song. wink

I agree... I personally think something is missing, I don't feel the emotion and passion in the music... Might just be me tho... It could be better but I think it sounds very flat.

i was listening to the 3121 album today and it struck me again just how great Tamar's backing vox

are on that album. they really compliment prince's leads and fit the songs like a glove.

they really give the album a great cohesive feel as well. not too in your face, just enhancing prince

in the right places or making a beautiful harmony.

i wish he'd go back to something like that. it was only 6 years ago. i wonder why he can't hear the

new backingsingers are just not as good as any of the ones he's had before. especially not when

they sing together. separately they have nice voices but together they just sound weird and out of

place somehow.

Love it another "MasterPiece". Love the backing vocals also & the inclusion of "Wild & Loose" & America & Can't Nobody by Rufus & Chaka. Prince please put out a long rehearsal jam of the song that got me hooked on U. "Sexy Dancer". Also is Prince imitating Dj Rickey Smiley in the beginning with gudmurning gudmurning???

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I really enjoyed this!!

I love the 'America' intrusion the best! lol...It took me by surprise and put on a real funky face for me! Hahaha

I was expecting a couple of different changes...I did not expect it to loop for so long. I thought there was going to be some kind of mix involved, but it is a rehearsal Jam, so maybe that explains it?

I really think he cursed when he said "Hooker, b*tch and ho, I don't think so "

But hey I might be wrong! lol

(I always listen carefully just to see when he drops it accidentally..LOL)

I loved the NewPower Soul line "GET FREAKY! LET YOUR HEAD BOB! " Hahaha,

It was a jam, nothing more or less! Well a Funky extended loop of Wildness! headbang

It's Button Therapy, Baby!

I like the fact he's playing and re-inventing his old stuff. maybe he's realised he cant write good songs anymore and is turning to the back catalog for funky inspiration, there's plenty of it! smile

extreme prince fans are the rise and fall of prince.org lol -- the people who most want to be pleased are always the ones least easy to please.

I enjoyed the music. Thanks for sharing and hippin' us to it.
