Wrong, Bart.

Prince has SO said "put your hands up" in the 80's, you loser. He's done the same amount of audience interaction in that decade as he is doing now. If let alone Prince or his band members saying those four words bother you so much then I'd hate sitting next to you and ANY of his shows, that is if you even have been to those shows, because I know you're just another bootleg junkie that judges concerts they haven't been to. *cough* alexnvrmind777 *cough*

CynicKill

I so wish he'd do this!

I think this would be huge.

The Revolution is the creative spark he needs to get inspired again to do exceptional things.

But wasn't 2004 kinda like a 1984 revival?

Secondly, as someone who was raised listening to traditional and contemporary gospel and praise music, the musicianship of the black church is far superior to that on secular radio and most of what's in secular music.

I would only point out that this is an opinion. I'll neither agree NOR disagree but no matter how strongly you believe it, it is still an opinion.

As to the matter of jesus being a source of inspiration, I should definitely amend that to "EYE find no inspiration in jesus" but I'm not interested in slamming someone's religion. I'll leave that to Bill Maher, as he's much better at it.

Yes, Prince. If we got married that WOULD be cool.

Says the one who hangs out with the biggest posse of trolls on this site.

Maybe counter point what I just said (which is the topic at hand) instead of being a dick and turning this thread into a dedication to me as usual.

I'll take that advice too. He communicates like someone with a huge chip on his shoulder and those people are seldom interested in other peoples' perspective and are better ignored.

Edit: Now back to what irrelevent crap Bart has to say, because being rational is out of the question. Let's ignore Craxx and listen to people that shove opinions down people's throats.

Just about everything on this site is an opinion. However, if we are discussing African American musicianship and comparing popular secular radio to gospel musicianship, even most jazz and blues musicians have asserted that hip hop has forced most soul, r&b, and funk musicians to earn a living on the gospel circuit. So, while it is an opinion, it is an opinion held by many notable jazz and blues musicians, including Wynton Marsalis and B. B. King.

As long as you amend that “you” find no inspiration in Jesus that's cool. I'm not here to tell you what should inspire you. But, in responding to your earlier statement, obviously Prince and millions of others find inspiration in Jesus. So, again, all of these notions of Prince having lost it, or being in a rut, or just coasting is more about Prince no longer appealing to people's personal tastes and ideologies, and rather than just finding something else that interests or inspires them they waste time slamming Prince for something over which he has no control--their personal tastes.

I would absolutely love to see him back with his old bandmates which were my favorite band of all time. But I'm certainly not holding my breath for it.

Prince is too smart to do a reunion with the revolution. He doesnt need to. That was then this is now. The past is over.

As much as I love the old gang, I agree. I DO think he should've showed up on stage at Bobby's thing at First Ave. It was the right thing to do.
