Becuz he is the only one left that Prince communicates with and gives accurate info to boo....

Any one of us could have posted this news item from LA Weekly. It didn't come direct from Prince's camp.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Thanks so much for posting that audio clip of 17 days. My eyes started welling up when I finally got to hear him pay respect to Teena Marie especially with it being the one year anniversary of her death yesterday. One of the orgers said he's done a tribute, but I wanted to hear it myself.

Please continue to keep Alia Rose in your prayers especially with X-mas day being her first birthday/holiday without her mother.

I put Teena on the same level as Prince as a musician and it would've been great to see her being making a stop on his 21 day welcome2America shows had she lived or before that. Thank you Prince for paying respect to Teena. I love you.

At the show on 12/29 in NYC he dedicated 'Uptown' and 'Sometimes It Snows In April' to Teena Marie.

R.I.P TEENA

If I appear to be emotional and passionate about Lady T it's because I really really wish she would've received her flowers when she was alive. When I say flowers I mean accolades. I am very disappointed in BET. First they had the walk of fame and now they have both the BET lifetime achievement award and BET honors. This year they recognized Teena's death instead of her achievements, something they should've done a LONG time ago. This was an artist that was REAL with stuff and with the R&b genre. She could've sold out, but she didn't! She stayed true and kept it real in her 30 year career. but BET honors is got time to honor Mariah Carey, what bullshit!

Teena I miss U may you rest in peace. I wish you would've won more Grammy, been given more tributes, honors, but now you are getting the best honor and award of all. You are in the kingdom of heaven with the Lord.

I was fortunate to be able to tell Teena how I felt about her before her tragic death. Teena knew who really loved her and was at peace with that. She never really tried to crossover. She was very true to her Rnb roots. When she did it wasn't on purpose(LoverGirl). BET is a joke. I sat behind Teena once with her daughter at the BET Awards. She was not impressed with it at all.

Teena was also the first female Rnb singer to add a rap to her song(Square Biz). She never gets credit for that either. Mariah is always credited & Teena did the rap herself. Its very sad as talented as she was she wasn't fully appreciated for it. But now we have Missy Elliot who has carried the torch. I told her that to.

L.A. Weekly names the Troubadour show concert of the year. At the bottom of the article, the doc includes an audio link of a show that I think is from the Forum run and not the Troubadour show.

It's kind of cool. Hints about new music in 2012 as well. Eh. We will see.

& I wouldn't expect to hear different ... LoL

Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

His Welcome to America Tour was also on the NYTimes year end "best" concerts list. I haven't seen that posted on the org yet.
