as usual I agree almost entirely with everything Captain says on this (sorry TrevorAyer). Great show.

Nothing better at the end of a tough day, than listening to the four of you talk about Prince and his music. I'm not sure what that says about me, but if the shoes fit, I'll wear them. Great podcast for a Great album; I enjoyed the entire show!

ur right i'm sorry .. i really love these podcasts .. just had to chime in on this one as i was listening .. probably seems out of context if ur not listening to them review "ronnie talk to russia", "annie christian" and "jack u off" while reading it. maybe a wee little bit negative too .. i still can't understand a reviewer that would skip "do me baby" and praise "ronnie talk to russia" .. i mean it's "do me baby" .. a song that is right up there with "if eye was your girlfriend" and "purple rain" .. its classic ..

Do Me Baby is only classic because of the performance imo. The song is in many ways pretty normal soul/rnb ballad. But the theatrical and extreme emotions is making it hard to not notice. I have never heard a song as embarassing to listen to with others as this song. It's a bit too private. While Madonna used sex mostly as a gimmick, and partly as a statement imo, Prince is just plain real sex, and will always put some sexuality in his music even if he don't want to. It's in his nature. And what makes the listener so uncomfortable is that Prince is not joking, but being dead serious with it.

Thanks for another great show.

Controversy was the first Prince song I heard on the radio and it's still one of my favorites. All in all, a really, really good album but I prefer the Dirty Mind album over Controversy. Looking forward to the review of that album whenever that happens.....

I have listened to some of the older shows from the beginning and tend to have the same taste/opinions similiar to Toejam.

Looking forward to the next episode!
