Who cares what people think. I caught my 13 year-old with a few Prince songs on her Ipod. She used to roll her eyes when I played his music, but now she is a fan.

Why is it?? Because most people are not into music, but into image.

These kind of topics are always eye openers for me. I'm a professional artist and most people I talk to are also in the music industry, so everyone is aware of how amazing he is.

That's because they're cool with us as long as we do friendly weak little Disney type bullshit. But if we get down, and I mean get down hard, they feel threatened because they see that some of us are not only just as good as they are, but better. That's what I've always loved about Prince is that he shatters the image of us being the stereotypical weak sissy that goes off somewhere and cries. Most people I personally know, and who aren't fans, thinks that Prince is:

1. a genius who plays many instruments

2. a very short dude who wears makeup and high heels but manages to bang a lot of top-shelf women.

The gay thing I only read on the internet

^ Yeah some folks around me say the same thing about Prince. I hardly hear "that dude's gay" lol unless it came from my nieces or nephews or something.

Most other musical artists have a respect for Prince because they understand exactly what hard work and dedication you need to make it in the music business.

The average joe doesn't understand this and just look at image, happy with the latest winner from a talent show for a couple of years until the next one comes along.

So glad us lot are above all that!

It's probably men ranting about it and secretly wanting Prince to be gay.....
