Justin Beiber will NEVER be Prince. Never be the new Prince, never be the old Prince, never be the dead Prince. Justin Beiber will NEVER be on the same level of Prince...at any time in his career or his life. Sorry, no go.

Hell, I'd even say the same thing about Michael Jackson. I like Prince LOADS more than Michael Jackson, but I DO respect Michael Jackson and everything he's done...and Justin Beiber will never be that well recieved, popular, or great. Sorry, will.I.am. Nope.

People need to stop worrying about "who's the next this or that" and start appreciating the artists for what they are. It's like people can't let the past go.

Good point but looking at artists now through a past filter is pointless.

Tool.

lol yeah you could say that. And yeah Will has to be on some stuff...

Inherently they know theres a clear distinction in what they do and what people like prince and mike do so yes they manufacture and uplift others to that level. The current modern singer is more malleable to Hip Hop deity, we live in a Hip Hop culture so rap stars feel they can also be king makers. Prince and Mike as a combined legacy are threatening to them, too big for them to claim equality with no matter how much money they make. Lil Wayne can say "im a true artist" but he cant jam with Prince, he can only run that shit by a generation that can download an ap and make beats with their phones.

Why wait til 2030 to broadcast him to Mars, send him out there now! Knowing our luck a UFO would drop him back off!

No way on Earth is Bieber anything like MJ or Prince, William must be needing some free publicity so trying to strike up scandel by name dropping!

Not even half as good as Prince's "the internet is over and dead... but I m gonna use my band members FB pages to drop stuff... cos ya know its not me, its Andy and its Social Networking blah blah blah" Scandel!

I doubt P will be calling him any time soon to work on "Real music" after comparing him to Justin Bieber....

The new generation knows they can't match the old. That's why comments like this keep getting made. To get attention...and ridicule perhaps.

Will.I.Am: "Justin Bieber Could Be The New MJ" (Prince mention in article)

Will.I.Am has sensationally claimed that he believes Justin Bieber has got what it takes to replace Michael Jackson as the King Of Pop.

The Black Eyed Peas frontman, who is working with JB on his third studio LP, thinks the Biebster can fill the void Jackson left after his death in June 2009.

Speaking to Radio Disney about the 17-year old superstar, Will confessed: "I was with Justin Bieber in the studio two days ago, working on his new album, and we had a really great conversation."

"Justin Bieber could be like Prince. Justin Bieber could be like Michael Jackson where his career is like, for like, 'Wow! Explain its 2030, Justin Bieber, your career is so long. You’re the first artist to be broadcasted to Mars. How do you feel about that?' Justin Bieber could be that dude."

Will added: "That’s the conversation we had and then we started working on things from scratch like here right, I wanted to do something with Justin that probably no other producer would do or to took the time to think about to do. You know I’m excited about the stuff we’re making."

Jay-Z also recently hit the headlines for comparing his wife Beyoncé to MJ, stating that the Single Ladies hitmaker "inspired" him, much like Michael Jackson did.

Either Will is just a hype man.................or a complete FOOL.

I don't have to be a parent to know Michael Jackson was not a pedophile, and I only commented to you because your statement is flawed in view of the evidence. It is important for us to know which are and are not; obviously Michael Jackson was not because NO one that knew him found his association was within pedophilia. Everyone of those who 'alleged' he was; all were seen to be in it for the money. It's even recorded on tape; that many of the accusers were in it for the money. They took advantage over his charity and created a lie and the media OVER BLEW IT. Michael just loved children but never to a sexual extent, that isn't even visible...so I am just saying..

Also the children can't be harmed anyways seeing as it's been two years since he died. Mentioning previous allegations (to which he was acquitted from) only pisses on his grave to me.

BUT I am not going to comment further, this has nothing to do with Michael Jackson, which is why you bringing him up was wrong in the first place.
