I prefer no hits, and I actually like to hear his interpretations (covers) sometimes, if they are intensely "prince"-ized..

im hoping he'll get back in that mode after he makes whatever money he needs with this tour

It was great to hear the odd cover but these days he seems to have 5-10 that he plays fairly often. There was a time when it was quite rare to hear a cover at a Prince show (the proper shows, not after shows). Now it seems like 1/4 of his shows are covers and he seems to play the same ones.

I go to hear the great songs, hits or not. Many of my faves are not hits at all.

I would LOVE for the setlist to be "hitless", but I just can't fathom hearing this band do the non-hit gems that we'd all want to hear. They're too boring and emotionless, and it would just be playing the tracks by the numbers, Vegas style.

So, if that's the only choice, I'd just as much rather see him do the same ol' hits than to really fuck up some album tracks that the hardcore community holds near and dear.

In all honesty, never having had the opportunity to see him live, I don't think I'd care what he plays, as long as I had the chance to go to a concert.
