I find the entire interview suspect, honestly. Prince went to Abu Dubai, sure. And I think the notion that there is such thing as an "moderate" islamic country to be a bit off kilter--they're conservative by all accounts. The first reason why I find this interview suspect is Prince didn't perform in a theocratic state so far as I know. I believe there's freedom of religion there (as there is in several majority muslim countries), and there isn't "one" religion. Shit, there are so many immigrant workers from Asia there, it's bound to have large Buddhist and Hindu populations there. So, it can't possibly be a one-religion country. That leaves two possibilities---Prince is bat-shit crazy or he was misquoted. And, honestly I can't see how he would be that gravely mistaken. Actually there is one other theory--perhaps he did say something similar to that but meant it in a flowery allegorical way--he was trying to make a point towards something else. Even this though, I find suspect.

As far as him not recording anymore: That seems suspect. I would imagine him recording all the time, but having no intention of releasing anything anymore.

Honestly I couldn't give a rat's ass if he does release anything anymore.

Don't get me wrong, if he does, I'm sure I'll obtain it for free somehow, but I really can't be bothered to get worked up about whether he does nor not. He keeps watering down that ever elusive 'legacy' of his with current lackluster material anyways.
