Adorecream

Its true, Adore was recorded on November 19, Camilles Version of strange relationship sounds a lot like the one recorded in March 1986, except all of Lisa and Wendy's instrumentation has gone.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Prince said it was replaced by "Adore" in the booklet notes of the compilation album "Crystal Ball".

I know that, but Prince has taught us over the years not to believe what the album credits say.

And... Prince is the only one who said that, that I know.

Per Nilsen stated that Crucial, When The Dawn Of The Morning Comes and Coco Boys were recorded for the first incarnation of The Dawn project.

Ah, but Per Nilsen has been wrong on a few things in his book "The Vault". I can completely see how Crucial could have been part of that Crystal/SOTT collection because of use of the word "Crucial" in a sort of Princely slang like he used in "U Got the Look" and even "Adore". Just like the word "Crystal Ball" pops up in "Hot Thing"

Prince records all the time, and most of the time the songs aren't created with a specific project in mind. But even when they are it doesn't mean that they can't change or get used for something else instead. Prince's albums are littered with songs that were originally intended for one project but then actually used for something else.
