Shipping is a rip off!!!

I recently bought a tshirt from the US and the shipping was $3!!! (to Ireland)

$15 is outrageous for a tshirt.

and yes, I'm STILL bitter about my LF shirt no-show

I can understand your LF T-shirt issues, but actually $15 is about right for shipping. Working in retail and oversea mail order, it costs about £9.50 to send an item to the US using Royal Mail's International signed for service....

I remember ordering a polo shirt from NPGMC and being charged $20 for FedEX oversea delivery. The shirt turned up stuffed in an envelope with no signature required on delivery by Airmail... must've cost about £5. Was NOT happy at that one!

Some companies build the shipping costs into the price of the goods so it doesn't notice... $35 dollars isn't too bad is it?

Well, I am giving a response, even before looking, that is because I don't care..."Thank God" he has this store up.

My 4 year old now knows him and she loves him too!

How sweet it is to be loved by you!

lol

Looking forward to this store...fingers crossed about costs.

I am wondering if there might be any such footage or dvd's of him with this upcoming tour, to those in the past, being for sale?

Wonder how last night, which is tonight for us, in Yaz Island went?

I love the photo of Prince with the guitar and cityscape but I don't like the t-shirt design. I don't know why they didn't center it--there is too much blank space left on the front, and the lack of tour dates on the back is glaring... I'll wait and see what the vendors sell at the concerts until I buy one... Also, at recent concerts I've been to... the quality of the fabric is not that good...very thin compared to just a few years ago. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a cheap shirt that won't last past a few washings... razz

Personally, I feel like a fan buys any of the shirts as a collector's item anyway. Are you really going to wear it that frequently? That way, if you spend $70, it's still worth it to you as a collector. If you spend $20, hell that's an even better bargain. I think it's really about what it means to you..

I usually wear mine once then never again. The black ones get washed with Wool-lite for colors so they don't fade. I'm getting a t-shirt with the VIP package and I'll probably buy another at the show if something catches my eye. Heck for 20 dollars you can buy two and have one for your collection and one to wear!

Just got this e-Mail:

Surprise!

4 weeks time is....? The week before his NY/NJ shows. Makes sense to me. They are being made for the gigs so, why have them ready to go now?

Then I believe it should be stated that they would not be in stock. Note that the e-mail I get said i wouldn't be charged until it was shipped. I was charged when I placed the order.

What is the deal wtih the T-shirt scams...come on..

As I mentioned previously I work in retail and do mail order. By law, a business is able to charge a customer for goods as long as the goods are available to be delivered within 28 days. If the goods are going to be more than 28 days, then they need to state this is the case. Therefore, they are perfectly within the law to charge you and not tell you there could be a wait of 4 weeks - doesn't aid customer relations though, I agree. As a consumer you have the right to cancel your order at anytime within those 4 weeks, unless the goods are being made specifically for your requirements, ie. custom goods.

I was wondering if anyone else felt that way. biggrin I have bought several T shirts over the years. The only one I ever wore was the female "Funk Soldier" with the epaulets. I wore it to one of the Musicology concerts and had my symbol tambourine. That was the show where Prince was rolled down the aisle in a box. When he got on stage, I swear to God, he saw me in that shirt (I was on the front row) and gave me "the point!" excited touched nana lol

I bought the notorious Lotus T shirt and never wore it. It's still in a drawer. I figured if I paid $77 for a "souvenir" shirt, that's exactly was it was, a souvenir. I have others that I have never worn, too.

Question. Are all t shirts sold at the concerts "official?" I mean, how do you know some vendor hasn't bought a bunch of cheap shirts, jacklegged a silk screen and manufactured them themselve?
