Am I a horrible superfan because I never buy the shirts/ other paraphernalia? I'm starting to feel sort of guilty for not spending $77 on a poorly made, super thin tee shirt that takes 3 months to get arrive... I'm a bad Prince girl... confuse

How'm I gonna fill this empty room...

In fairness to Prince and the people who worked on the Lotusflow3r site, if it had been the coolest thing ever and continued to grow over the next few years like the NPGMC did, most people wouldn't be complaining about the tee shirt fiasco. But that's not what happened, so when one is added to the other it becomes an easy thing to complain about.

Hey has anyone bought one of the Prince "Welcome 2 America Tour" shirts...There priced at $20.10 lol...thought that was clever.

Here is the link....

MusicToday? That's the same company that handled his business in the early 2000s. I still recall the t-shirts for dogs. Tons of crap, very little worthwhile.(I've still got an archive somewhere.)

And if you ordered from outside the US, you'd have to pay ridiculous amounts of shipping costs, and most of the time customs added a nice bonus charge too.

Aha, Live Nation bought MusicToday in 2006:

http://www.fastcompany.co...c_man.html

That explains why they've got this.

It's $20! It's not going to be TOP quality now is it!!

Why not? Do you have any idea what good quality bulk t-shirts cost? Or screen printing? Because I do. When you are selling the volume Prince does you can EASILY sell a TOP quality t-shirt with screen printing for $20 and make a tidy profit. There is no excuse for the undersized, paper thin garbage that was distributed with the Lotusflow3r site. If these turn out to be the same, again, no excuse. Give your customers quality product if you want them to return.

Well, OK, I'm not in the T-shirt business. But I can base my statement on experience.

I have 2 21 Nights Chelsea Rogers T-shirts. They are made by Continental (?). The printing is, IMO, very good, but the fabric is fairly thin - OK for 7 sweaty aftershows wink

These T-shirts cost £25 each - about $35-40. I would think that 21 NIghts of gigs would sell more Ts than 7 in New York. Again, my opinion.

Therefore, I would say, that a T that is HALF the price would be of cheaper quality. Fair point? I think so, so don't come up in here waving your "knowledge" at me lol

4 weeks time is....? The week before his NY/NJ shows. Makes sense to me. They are being made for the gigs so, why have them ready to go now?

Then they should say so on the website. Selling something that isn't yet available isn't an order, it's a PRE-order.

is MusicToday the company that had a bunch of Prince stuff in the warehouse for a few years?

I remember buying a copy of "Rave In2" from them. As soon as they shut down that store, that album started selling on eBay for twice the price, sometimes more. I should have bought a few more, LOL.

Yes, MusicToday ran the NPGMC store.

Knowing Prince, they probably got stuck with every bit of merch they had.

That's not that uncommon. I work for a company that manages the official websites of a large list of bands and musicians and we are often stuck with old merch when a deal comes to an end.

I'm biased, but MusicToday sucks.

The shirt holds no value or meaning to me. Somebody here asked for it, so I'm sending it to them. I've been laggin' though because they mentioned including some other stuff. I need to just send it.

People, It's a t-shirt. If you don't want one, don't buy one. I cracks me up when people on here start to analyze every little bit of info . Who cares how big the font is. He is on tour. He is selling a tour t-shirt. I bought 2. Get over it

Exactly. If you need a high end t-shirt then go to the Armani store and buy one for 90 dollars! It's a 20 dollar t-shirt not the cure for cancer.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

The print including Prince on the T Shirt is cool but I'd rather like to wear a tighter one, a sexier T-shirt one shaped as a guitar itself for the Woman's: on 1 side: a side of guitar and the other side Prince embracing the instrument..
