Hmmmmmmmmmmm . Went to London for the Planet Earth O2 gig with my husband. He ruined the concert and trip for me. sat there for the whole thing wuth a face like a slapped arse. I never forgave him. We fought the whole weekend and now we have filed for divorse.

'Spose I can't blame that gig for the breakup but I do still think of the terrible experience when I am feeling particularly bitter.

should of went with my friend sarah.

Looking for a new man. Freaks need not apply. Freeeks can tho ;-p

I'd been seeing someone for about two years when I scored us tickets to the Musicology tour--7th row, pretty sweet. When we got to the auditorium this "someone" ran into a couple of friends and traded our tickets to the couple sitting next to the friends. All without my knowledge of course. The friends were somewhere around row 50. I was livid. The relationship was pretty much over right then and there.

Sounds like my story! eek

We were in the 2nd row on the side Prince played to most of the time.

He stood there with his arms folded with this hrmph look on his face all night. Prince even called him out at one point - to move or something. disbelief

We fought all the way home. It was my birthday... he ruined the whole evening.

His issue? He said that I showed more enthusiasm at the concert than I did the day he proposed. omfg

What is up with these guys? confused

I guess MoneyM that the moral of thr story is never go to a gig with a NOn fan. Its not fair on them either in hindsight. But they could atleast juct suck it up for a a couple of hours and afterall we had flown down from edinburgh, booked a nice hotel and were supposed to have a wee romantic....actually dirty weekend away. It wasn't just a treat for me te concert was only a couple of hours out of the whole weekend.

The only thing dirty was the moods. lol

Ah well. I am determined to move on and not be a bitter old queen. LOL The priscription helps eek

Let's just say that was 90% of the reason....although my current girlfriend doesn't love him, and I've managed to forgive her, so maybe I'm growing as a person.

Take it - like Clarence said:

How beautiful r u? there's more than
A thousand replies
Could it b ur lips or ur golden eyes?
When eye think of an answer
That's when eye get so surprised
Another wonder of the world realized
That's y

Eye just don't want you here
Eye just don't want you near me baby

Cuz eye'm scared eye'll cry
And live you like crazy
Flying above all fears
Eye haven't seen any tears, not lately
Eye don't wanna land not even maybe

How desperate am eye?
Eye wonder if you r what keeps me alive
Alone eye can't get as high
Even tho eye've tried

It's different when u're grown
The wine don't taste the same
When u're alone
The size of the bed now seems like
The biggest that eye've ever known

[Chorus]

There's so much more 4 you and me 2 explore
Ooh baby baby
When you walk thru that door
Eye am gonna give you what u're waiting 4

Baby lemme break this down

Eye am gonna say this once
Then eye am gonna leave this town
If you can learn 2 open ur eyes under water
Then you and me won't drown
Without each other
Eue promise eye'll c you on the other side
Just believe in me and trust this ride
Eye am so sincere right now
Eye just...

Eye just want you here
Eye just want you near me baby
Eye'm scared eye'll cry
And love you like crazy
Eye'm flying above all fears
Eye haven't seen any tears not lately, no
Eye don't wanna land, not even maybe
Donny hathaway's "song 4 u" ain't the same
Without you
Here

heart one of my favourite this song..bring tears to my eyes

My sweetie isn't nearly as big a fan as I, but he likes seeing me happy. And if seeing Prince here and there makes me happy, then he wants to be there. He also doesn't mind if I go to a show by myself or with someone else.

See...part of being in a mature relationship is not only letting the one you love be who s/he is, but enjoying who s/he is.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Current fling has won my heart by patiently listening to P music several nights and actually shows genuine interest in his guitarrock and shows.

Allthough it is not his kind of music, he does apreciate it and more important, he's interested in me and therefore in the music I like.

He's much better for that matter then I am. I can't listen to his music for 1 minute (hard core) and he doesn't mind and still is listening to P his music with me.

My advise: never go to a concert with somebody who is not a fan when you are. Bound to clash. Or the non-fan has to really understand and be cool about it. I prefer to go with a friend who also is fan. We both totally understand eachothers nerves in advance and hapiness during the concert.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I did dump a boyfriend because of Prince. I had just purchased Around the World in a Day, and took it over to my boyfriend's house to listen to it with him. I thought he would enjoy listening to it with me, but instead he freaked out and started yelling at me. He was in my face telling me that I cared more about Prince than I did him and he took the cassette and threw it across the room. It hit the wall and smashed to bits. It was in that moment that I did realize that I cared more for Prince than I did him and dumped him.

Funny thing is I saw him about a year ago and he asked me if I still liked Prince and I said yes! wink

All 4 fun and fun 4 all
