I remember when Bob Johnson sold BET to Viacom not too long ago. Honestly, I rarely watch BET anymore. They used to have better programming back in the early 90s. Sadly, I see that station quickly turning into a haven for infomercials.

Gee, how full of shit can one statement be???

Anyway, BET gets a lot of well-deserved criticism, but the Lifetime Achievement Award they give out every year and the performances that accompany it are one of the few things they get right.

Now with that out the way. i will make sure I will be attending this show. The reason he is just getting it because he declined previously. I'm glad that BET is paying homage since Prince is the only BLACK superstar left after MJ's tragic death last year. He will be there they can't give a Life Time Acheivement Award without him attending..Hopefully its better than MJ's tribute since they have more time to plan it.....

This is turning out to be a good Princely summer. Last year this time Prince had already abandoned the Lotusflow3r project.......Congrats princey u deserve it..

I believe it was the idea of one of the director's of the "Purple Rain" film to do that in order to attract a much, broader audience. It was about how much money ("$$ ch-ching") they could make off that movie.
