You're right. Nothing screams success like the $5 markdown bin at Target.

Come on, now. It went there months later.

biggrin I have no sense of perspective. I'm too used to eating at "gourmat" restaurants.

look

i loved the music from the off

for me-the web site-no tour to back a brill guitar album................to be honest-the web site TOTALLY turned me off the project-the great boots that came last year-Monaco-Paris-conga room etc-they kept me listening

and now

well-im honestly-not fussed

if he has a new album-sure i'll listen

but im old school-and an album HAS to be played live and the artist has to seem,

well at least a little intarested in the project

just releasing it-and forgetting it-makes me wanna do the same

Well, I go to the trouble of ripping it. I just haven't talked myself into listening to it yet.

lol

you say that as if it will be like sticking needles in your eyes biggrin

give it a spin, you might like some of it. it's not mindblowing or anything but it's

a solid protege album. it's got better songs than any protege disc he's released

since the 80s.

Just as I suspected. A coaster. Thanks, Prince!

The 3 CD LotusFlower is an embarrassment… of riches. It is the work of an accomplished musician and songwriter who shows that he has no boundaries musically speaking. It really could not be produced by any other living musician. It rocks, it funks, it jazzes lol. What’s not to love?

The only thing missing from the set is the innovation of youth. When a young genius Prince was producing music with the ignorance of a novice. The music we get on Lotusflower is the inevitable flowering of genius after years of study and practice. That so many Prince fans are so dismissive of this work is rather sad. For me Lotusflower makes me want to hear more of the artistry that is contained within the mind of this 52 year-old wonder.

What are thoughts on the future after Lotusflower?

[Edited 6/4/10 8:04am]

There was a day when he was good to cream every boy and girl, and artist, after they have learned.... begin to create within boundaries learned. Kind of sad.

We are all so full of doody here
