Another rumor circulating is that in fact Prince will organize a 30 night stint in Paris. He'll be on a tv show next Wednesday (Canal Plus, Le Grand Journal) there may be an announcement of the residency.

Now that's good rumour!

I agree that song and Shockadelica would be the bomb! Only last week I put together an exercise cd which had several 80's b sides, LoveLeft loveRight, lubricated Lady - some fine dance tracks and they sound awesome back 2 back. Be even more awesome to hear some of these gems live!! biggrin

I love taking part of this mess, without really getting involved. It's less painful for sure! Even a bit entertaining...biggrin Instead of chasing Prince all over Europe in the very last minute, I'm going to see my favorite, local artist live, for $ 8 at a really cosy and intimite little venue, with a real "afterparty feel" to it. The music is going to make me as uplifted and happy as a Prince concert does, but surely less mad, exhausted and broke.wink

Have fun in Paris everyone (I mean those of you that actually manages to get tickets, flights, accomodation, e t c, e t c)! biggrin

Prince should do that : two tickets available for each peep buying, so people can go to the concert and no re-sell it.

plus the first show which should start around 5PM will be during the day. You can't dim the place until the sun dims itself. I'm not much of a fan of daylight shows.
[Edited 10/8/09 0:42am]

Yeah, odd...

I won't be here Sunday but I'm strangely not bothered.

With all this talk of VIPS and industry/fashion folks, I'm just bored.

Hopefully the rumours of gigs around the city for true music fans will come to be instead of "happenings" for rich folks to rattle their jewellery to.

Glad I was able to go to the shows in LA and Minny, but the boy's really changed since '01-02, living all glamorous and shit. Seems like the hip's sidelined him in terms touring...where's the live streaming shows? Oh, wait, he's a genius...lol

Lotusflower was the best thing he's put out in awhile, but I think he's gone from the true fans for good.

I hope I'm wrong.

God Bless everyone!

I am a bit reluctant to clic on pay when I don't really understand French. first free place and second free place I understand, but Assis and Debout? Are cheap seats standing and VIP sitting? I know I am going to get directed to a page which will be all new, and no time to think or translate. Travel has gone up since yesterday too.

MAybe it's a bit crazy.....

I Agree. The language makes it hard to navigate. Is it only thru Fnac we can order. And is the lowest ticketprice standing and the higher price sitting?

When you get to the page where the actual booking of the ticket is you can change language by clicking the english flag up to your right.

Otherwise I recommend http://babelfish.yahoo.com to translate your texts.
