Not sure about Prince's relationship with Thelma, but his relationship with Jam & Lewis definitely wasn't "cool" by the time they recorded with her. "I'd Rather Spend The Bad Times With You (Than Spend The Good Times With Someone New)" was another great song from the same album as "You Used To Hold Me," and also released as a single with a hot hot remix.
