He could at least "try". lawd.

Maybe he's saving himself since this *is* just a rehearsal, but the vocals are just weak, weak, weak.

eh, it sounds a bit bland to me. A live thing should rock harder than the original recording, shouldn't it?

And what's up with his 1 note vocal range lately? Why not just change the key to suit his voice if he's not going to sing it in falsetto?

I agree with you 100%. I did like the solo, though.

I know. I was about to logoff this site and decided to look in this forum and saw this thread. I'm glad I saw it. I love the video to this song that was on American Bandstand, and the song reminds me of when he was first introduced as an artist. It's an upbeat song and I love the music behind it. You're right though, he didn't have to share it with us, but I'm glad he did!dancing jig

I forgot that he did this song on American Bandstand way back then. That was a hot performance and I hope that he gives the Parisians another scorching performance of that classic. I forgot how much I loved "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad" music woot!

I'm sure he works to save his voice when preparing for shows. Especially if they've been rehearsing heavily for two weeks. How many times do we say we'd love rehearsals and then when people hear it, they wonder why it sounds like he's not giving it 120%. neutral

I'm sure it'll be a lot gutsier live, but I love the arrangement and guitar on this.

Awesome track, thanks Prince!! headbang

That's kind to let us hear it. I've never heard it before. It's a nice song and the mix into "take me with you" at the end is beautiful. From which album is Y u wanna treat me so bad?

I like medleys, they're like a mini house party and I'm happy with the choice of "shake your body down to the ground" I think he'll do that one well.

Good news, if it's true that he'll be coming to Europe again. Too much of one cultural influence can be limiting. Diversity is inspiring.

Encore un fois Prince. Si vous plait, un autre chocola razz

The drums are very weak. They sound like somebody bashing on tupperware.I love the song though and Princes guitar playing sounds excellent.

That's how the drums used to sound back in 80/81. Very simple.

Thank U. I am so tired of people bashing Cora. She is a fantastic drummer, and there R plenty of examples of her slammin' the skins. In fact, as far as heavy Funk and Rock go, she's the heaviest on the snare, hi-hat, and cymbals. Listen 2 the Alma award show, for a great example.

Different drummers, different voices. John is fluid, has a flair with embellishments... Mike B's sidestick is like clockwork, and his rolls R amazing. Cora is versatile, works the hi-hat 2 death, has a powerful pocket.
