I'm thinking that the interviewer wanted to stick his pencil in Prince's forehead when he answered like this twice. His faux coyness just looked like P really couldn't back up his ideas with discussion. Frustrating.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I loved that article, I remember buying that magazine and cutting it up, and I took that poster of the symbol guitar to my university dorm (Theres actually a photo of it I have with the poster on the wall, next to several other Prince photos) I was probably more fam then than I am now

No, it's little riffs and bits of a number of songs over a few pages. In each case, they took care to note that the example was "something like" or "similar to". I guess they couldn't get the rights to publish.
