People in the UK can get this from Borders.

Bought last months copy this weekend with the review of the 3 shows in 1 night in LA.

Shouldn't be long before the Prince issue is in the shops! Will keep you posted!

I hope the rest of this project is better than what I've heard.
A complete insult 2 my ears and my time.

Oh look, it's well-known musicologist M Gray. You know, the guy who doesn't understand what the big deal is about re Jimi Hendrix.

Does anyone understand how this is going to work?....does buying the magazine give you some sort of code enabling you to download the cd from the spin website?

No access code is required; however, it's noted in the fine print that the downloaded tracks are limited to North American residents.

Works OK with Safari 4 on a PC. Spin's website is extremely slow and glitchy, though. Haven't tried IE.

The album is now available. You have to answer a question about the article and submit an email address (which places you on Spin's mailing list) before you can download.

Haaa! lol

All I'm gonna say is that I know where you are coming from. There are some people on here who try and give off this vibe like they are so knowledgable and "in the know" and the more I read their posts the more I realize they are actually really ignorant and aren't in the know at all.

The issue with the tribute looks like this:

You don't have 6 bucks to spend on the magazine? The publishing industry is in trouble. You want it, go buy it.

Actually, I don't HAVE to buy it, I could go to the store and just look at page 61. However, I live in a small town that doesn't have a bookstore and I be damned if I'm gonna drive damn near an hour to pick up a magazine. The old me, the uber Prince fan would have. Not the sensible, "Prince is cool and all but DAMN its not that crucial" me.

Nope, but I've been watching Oz the last few nights, so I just might pull a Shillinger, burn a swastika on your butt and come in you razz
