ah. gotcha. i don't catch much tv. His final show was February 20th. Jimmy Fallon took over March 2nd. Leno ends his reign on Friday, and Conan opens The Tonight Show as his own on May 29th, with his old Late Show side kick Andy Richter as the new Tonight Show announcer. A shame P's got 2 great new CD sets of new music yet chooses something from his last album. Sure was hoping for something new and more upbeat like Dance4Me... Still looking forward to the performance - set sounds a bit like ICNTTPOYM  The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Yeah, I'm happy for Conan. He didn't have to go through the dramatic bullshit and politics that Leno and Letterman did when Carson left. And he won't be shit on the way Letterman was, either. I never got into Conan early on, but he IS funny. I think he'll do even better on The Tonight Show. I've tried to NOT watch anything about the new show on news or whatever, so it's really new and unspoiled when I watch it. | |
