I missed the first part of the performance since I was at my desk at work. I didn't time it right. I ran in when someone opened the door and I heard him on.  He was smokin! All I wanted to do was dance, but people kept walking in.  He was looking mighty dapper in them glasses. What an awesome performance from what I saw. Sheila and Rhonda were lookin fyne as always. The look he was going for here was like a combination between intellectual and with the background image (reminds me of the Clover video) is like 60's psychedlic It's strange. Prince has so many different facets to his personality. While intellectual does come to mind when you consider what a genius he is, its kinda strange to see It's certainly not seem often. I got that impression (the intellectual side of Prince) at the beginning of the "U Got the Look" video where he had the glasses.

Speaking of which, it looks VERY nice today. I'm not usually a fan of Prince in red, but this was a different shade than what he wore at the Grammys a year ago with the jacket it just works. Seriously, how does he know how to dress so well? Of all of the recent performances, that's probably the most unique wardrobe he'd donned. You expect sharp dress from Prince, but this is on a level by itself

Just saw it on the tube.....awesome!!!!! Love the look, the new guitar looks beautiful. His voice, the sound of the guitar, that band!!!!! Sheila on drums, rhonda on the bass, renato on the keys, was Mr Hayes there to the right? I hope so. That band right there is tight. I still say his next tour would be great if he switched up the bands for every show. I believe in horns! | |

After seeing Ellen and some of Tavis, I agree 100%. He looks very underweight. Well, in his current city of residence, I imagine he's considered morbidly obese... [Edited 4/23/09 19:54pm] • Did you first think Prince was gay? •

He did seem to appear much thinner than usual on Ellen and on the Tavis Smiley clips, imo. Not sickly thin, I don't think - but defnitely thinner.
