Thanks London style for that. Does anyone actually know if the $77 to join means you get the albums-or is that on top of the $77. Im not joining-well not until he announces a tour. Im not knocking it-its just my net pc is old-pentium 2 runnin win 98 so I can't get on it at home. I do have an all singing n dancing computer to record my music on-but am way too paranoid to hook the net up to it. I was advised never to do this. If it wasn't a recession-id go get a new net pc-but thats just too much as ive not long got my hohner artist and messa rectifier. LOL--i got made redundant-AFTER-i got those.....

Because it is a recession and we have slight deflation you should buy stuff before inflation sets in.
NO, this does not mean to spend like hell like they did to get into this mess.
But on a smaller scale it might be wise.
Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I was on the right track-i got my guitar and amp at very good prices-and i can get a decent pc for a tenner a month for three years-but i'm really wrestling with the justification-i only have problems with P's site-so seems a tad silly to get a new pc-when we don't actually know what we will get from the site yet. Ive already seem coachella footage-i have the audio and have all the dvd's of shows i need-plus ive never been one for clips-whole show or nothing for me.

Do you remember how much the 21 nights book was when it first appeared on Amazon for pre-order? It ended up dropping to around £15 upon release.

Amazon have to put some price up. It may end up being less. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and stop getting your knickers in a twist.

No one's knickers are in a twist, we are just reacting to a real piece of information just posted on amazon. They originally had a different price, this is the second amended one.

as soon as anyone comments negatively on here, we get the usual.. oh calm down, knickers in a twist comments. we are just discussing it! We are talking about cd's for gods sake not world politics.

lol cool

Or you get some idiot posting the below:

Comments about people's reactions and how individual's perceive those reactions are all part of the discussion. As long as treat each other with respect there really is no issue. My "knickers in a twist" comment is not anything personal just a light hearted observation on how some (but of course not all) get all riled up at things like this...

I love emoticons. I think I will start using them in real life, rather than speaking. I could print them out and paste them onto card.

prince cant do anything simple can he? first he releases two albums with different names but are packaged together. whats the point of that as he is not selling them seperately? why cant ge just put all his songs on one CD? and sell that? then he imposes this ridiculous Brie Levante CD on us, who the fuck gives a shit about her? Whats the point to her existence? The songs weve heard so far are as fluff, watered down pointlessness with absoltely no chance of being commercial successes and no chance of generating any interest with real prince fans (anyone remember Tamar? yeah exactly..).

He could of released one decent album for one price and released it around the world at the same time. but no, he decides to sell it first in the US at a knock down price, therefore creating an instant pirate market for his music, and releasing it a week after in the UK for 3 times as much is just inviting people to download/torrent it. I find it hard to beleive Prince was not personally involved in the decision making here, being such a control freak he is - if not, then he screwed up big time, because this will screw up his sales figures big time.

Has it never occurred to you and all the other people whinging about the CDs not being packed with music or suggesting that he put them both on one disc, as you have, is that they were conceived as separate projects? To combine them would be just the sort of commerce over art move that you folks seem to think Prince is all about these days, wouldn't you say?

But regardless, the whole package is 12 fucking dollars. What's the big deal if there's an album you don't want in there?

Well yeah, I know that's the meat of what's being discussed in this thread, but I was zeroing on that particular point I quoted, which has been thrown around in a lot of threads here lately.

If you must bring it down to a level of cussing and swearing-try and at least be talking about the same thing as those you seem to be angry at.....the important point is the diffrence in price. Nobody denies twelve bucks is a great deal-nearly fifty aint.....

Yessir, Mr polkadot, sir. I was reacting to a particular point, which echoed a viewpoint that has been voiced around here a lot lately. The $12 comment was secondary. You should improve your reading comprehension skills before you tell others how to post.

I will pay £15 for it MAXIMUM. That is more than the price of the average double CD package nowadays ('I Am Sasha Fierce' has been as low as £7.99 in HMV while still in the Top 10). Bria's album shouldn't count. It's an added on bonus. It's like tacking on The Truth to Crystal Ball while still advertising Crystal Ball as a triple album.

While giving the US customers his amazing deal with Target, hiking up the price to an absolutely ridiculous amount everywhere else should have at least been researched first, because a product is only worth what the customer is willing to pay.
