i was given this heads up from someone here-but-we can join my us, you can then get stuff from us retailers that dont ship interbationally-im just looking into prices etc-gotta be cheaper that £33

Unfortunately it's not cheaper.
It's $10 to set up an account, $30 for a one-time use, plus the cost of the CD = $52 = £37 = €40.

Do you remember how much the 21 nights book was when it first appeared on Amazon for pre-order? It ended up dropping to around £15 upon release.

Amazon have to put some price up. It may end up being less. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and stop getting your knickers in a twist.
Just somewhere in the middle,

No one's knickers are in a twist, we are just reacting to a real piece of information just posted on amazon. They originally had a different price, this is the second amended one.

as soon as anyone comments negatively on here, we get the usual.. oh calm down, knickers in a twist comments. we are just discussing it! We are talking about cd's for gods sake not world politics.

lol cool

Works out approx GBP 9.22 per copy plus UK postage which is not that much. Anyone know what the customs restrictions are? Don't fancy a full body search wink

You know what? I personally wouldn't ask you to do it. But it is so nice to hear of someone who, in genuine fan kindness would do that. Take a bow, you are a good reminder of what was fun to be a prince fan...

The price is actually £33.29 including VAT, but that's still 4 times the US price!

There is no Target outside of the USA, so we have to pay the normal price. It's that simple.

That's got nothing to do with it as Target's e-commerce business is run by Amazon.com so that blows that reason for the high price out of the water.. wink

We aren't beyond the deflationphase yet, in the UK?
Yet we see inflation from Prince?

I released a single for charity in November, which had dealer price of £1.69. All retailers listed the single for £1.99 or £2.49, with the exception of Amazon, who had it up for £4.99. So it is they who are making the margin here, not Prince. Prince should have thought about the rest of the world though, because we don't have an alternative way of buying the CDs.

Well if Prince is only offering download on his site, I'm not buying. I won't pay for downloads PERIOD!

But if he is shipping physical discs to europe at a similar price to the USA + P&P then I'm in!

& now it says £33.29, so we pay 3 times as much as the US fans!!!!!

If this is an import - as I suspect it will be - then this price is soley down to Amazon.co.uk cashing in.

I'd be VERY surprised if P has anything to do with this price at all.

£33 on amazon is the projected dollar sterling conversion at 7th april, which is the start of the new fiscal year. if you thought 08/09 was bad, just wait till 09/10 starts

it's a combination of america having obama as president, whereas we get brown. even america got to pick it's own president this time around

give it a couple of weeks and it will be reduced down in the amazon sale by 90% as prince will probably have done a deal to give it away free with heat magazine when jade pops her clogs, and they'll be handing copies to everyone going to the o2 to see michael jackass, that's if he doesn't get locked away before july and bothers to turn up. he'll probably dress up bubbles and teach him to moonwalk and lipsynch and no-one will notice the difference

Order it from an Amazon Marketplace seller based in the US who's bound to have it through amazon.co.uk. You'll only pay £1.21 shipping.
