It was primarily musical, was from 2006, and while it definitely had a Prince vibe and feel to it, I wasn't sold on it's legitimacy. Now we see that MPLSound is in fact Prince, but that being said, I wasn't a fan of the other stuff I heard. So if that thing from 2006 is in fact the album we get, then I'll be pretty 'meh' about the whole deal. For me, I'm just excited about the Lotus Flower thing. Other than that, it'll be great if he tours again.

I believe he starts to unload the work on us. The record companies are dead. The downloaders are what they are and will be and nothing will change that reality. But here is Prince with mountains of music, fan base that love him and endless possibilities in the new world.

Aww man it would have been cool if he had invited Robert Hilburn, the LA Times’ pop music critic until 2005.
Robert was a staunch Prince fan until the 90's when (most) critics and audiences alike lost interest. Prince literally lit fire on a clipping of one of his reviews on the "Arsenio Hall Show" Having HIM go to his mansion for a listen would be far more interesting than lightweights Ann Powers or USA Today’s Edna Gunderson [Edited 12/31/08 20:54pm] | |

without a doubt he can release so much music and i hope he does.
he was damn quiet for large chunks of 'o8, so lets hope to see him show (again) the music industry what he and other artists can do to shake up thangs. the sade comment was not needed, but when i think about it, he's right, not too many females are following the smooth tip lately (i stand to be corrected) Snare drum pound on the 2 & 4 | |
