I don't think he is lost. I think he is just growing and maturing spiritually - which is a natural occurance with someone as intelligent and sensitive and as a consequence his music grows too - the question is can we grow and appreciate the things he is showing us? or are we the ones that are lost ?

I think he may be giving some serious thought to life,
his career, his spiritually...folks in their midlife
ponder these things, but it doesn't mean they're lost.
They're just trying to figure out what's important.

Maybe he really needs some time to smell the roses,
verses frantically going from one concert to the next,
or going from one album to the next.

I applaud him for whatever's he's doing....once he's made
some decisions, then maybe we'll hear from him again.

'Is Prince lost?' I get the sense that, spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and musically, P is lost; in a veritable quagmire of sorts. This is not necessarily a new thing for P; however, unlike '82, the search - that fire in his belly - seems to have gone, too. It's understandable that people mature and change with age, experience, and love, but with P there still seems to be something of a lonely picture emerging underneath the glossy veneer of his much celebrated musical legend.

hmm i think if he were lost he'd have the good sense to stop and ask directions nod

Why is it that when I come to the org, I feel like I'm at a funeral? I feel like there is this sense of mourning in this place. People here seem to be going after each other over silly stuff. NEWSFLASH: Prince isn't dead yet and there is still new music to come. For all we know, something big might be brewing up in the studio but who knows? One thing is ture, no one knows where Prince is in his life right now and that's not a bad thing. If anyone in here truly cares about Prince, then pray for him. Support the dude in whatever way you want to. That's all.

I don't doubt there is new music to come; in fact, I know it's in the works. I am simply stating a sense that, underneath it all, he appears to be drifting... spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and musically. But that, unlike his search in previous years, he appears to be somewhat lost on his journey right now.

I don't think so ... Since his conversion of sorts 2 the JW faith his spiritual self has become more pronounced. Emotionally, from what I've seen during his concerts it doesn't appear 2 b so. Musically, he's grown. He's not the Dirty Mind/Controversy Prince any longer.

Again, I don't think so ...
Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

I don't know guys. All fans of Prince i know listen to other artists now. Because his new music is the same old tunes with new words.
As for Prince, he used to borrow some music ideas from others. We even made a list of such songs.
I dont want to tell anything bad abt Prince.
But what the use to ask for new stuff from him? There a lot of cool stuff from others singer.
And who knows... maybe he lost inspiration or just get tired or boared... wink

He is a man after all and no man does that. That is why I am single because with my sight have can';t get away with that, or not putting down the toilet seat for that matter.

He doen't look happy anymore not for a long time and he has lost weight and doesn't dance all that much. he is not happy. and after the way he has treated his fans lately, it finally may have set in the mistakes he has made.

He looked darn happy at the 02 concerts I went to and his danced his butt off night after night - he did the stomp for ages to Girls & Boys one night at the Indigo and then the last night during Controversy he really let rip with his jumping man he was high. So no I don't agree that he is not happy - he is and was well happy - but remember he is a serious minded person and he's shy so when he is not performing he indeed looks serious - come on this man has such a naughty sense of humour he is happy in his skin !!!!

He ain't lost, he's just been happy enjoying his 'Prince: The Legend' reputation for the past few years, and who can blame him?
I'd put money on him entering a new phase right now that'll result in some truly headfucking shit. Stuff that'll make us look back on this thread and laugh heartily.

Betcha!

I hope for your sake that you're right. I believe P has got it in him, no doubt. The cat just has to be motivated..that's all.

Some of you are just trolling your asses off.

What do you want? Prince isn't your pet.

He's doing what he's always done. It seems that if he had the promotional machine behind him that he had in the 80s or one like the pop artists of today, many of you would be chugging purple kool aid.
If this is wrong, then I long 2 be as far from right as I may.
