i am 17 man...been into prince since i was alittle younger and saw purple rain

Right before the scene where his father was going to shoot himself, I heard all of this screaming again. I looked back behind me and I saw Big Chick, two other security cats and Prince walking out of the theatre. He left and didn't return.

Just a question. What was the response of the crowd to the Darling Nikki performance? I remember going a little 'ape shit' over that scene, but I was hating on the love scene cause it wasn't me. I had a crush so I didn't really watch. I saw Purple Rain with my high school sweetheart so I was on my best behavior. He was and is still a fan too.

I read in a article that this pic was stolen right before the premire is this true BG? Or do you know? I know they said it had ot be replaced or was I seeing things back then?

Cool story. I wasn't a fan back in them days, to me he was just that gay looking guy that screamed a lot!

Anyway, now I obviously wish I'd got into his music a bit sooner. The purple Rain era must have been a great one to experience and it's great that you got to have such a good time.

I didn't hear about it being stolen and then replaced. I figured they started setting up Wednesday night because they had to clear out all of those people trying to buy tickets. I have no idea how long people were there because after we got our tickets, we left. I just know that it was tons of folks STILL there when we were leaving. This was in the afternoon. I can't see them putting up that picture and leaving it there overnight. If they did, I think it would have been covered up. They probably didn't put it up untill the morning of the premire, which was Thursday. But again, I never heard about it being stolen and then replaced.
