all of this is truly great news. well done Prince and it's obvious you are willing to do the work.

but what i really want to say is this: all of the so-called fans who literally trashed Prince w/ the recent Coachella (sp?) thang for not permitting live casts or etc., should truly be hanging your heads in shame.

a book, possibly a dvd biggrin cool and it looks like another gig in London.

seriously, many of us need to think twice before condemning (pre-judiciously) a man who's been making music longer than many members here have been on Earth.

- peace.

Oh man, this is great news.....though if its gonna be a one-off, "intimate" gig then getting hold of a ticket is gonna be tough. I reckon there is going to be alot of disappointed fans out there.

Yay yay yay yay!!! And if it's Brixton, their license allows for v.v.v.late performances - to about 2 in the morning! So if he starts at 8... cool

Yes indeed!!! It was virtually sun-up when Prince finally let us leave. Couldn't believe it when he came out the last time at five to four in the morning biggrin

Despite the Indigo being a great venue, I would imagine that he would play somewhere different this time.

ooo, i didn't think of a 3121 mailout...that'd be good!...and surely better than having a bunch of record company idiots who are just there to snort cocaine and get hammered like the last indigo aftershow...surely a waste of tickets!

thumbs up! Yes, let's hope it really would be for us 'Londoners / people in the UK', who supported him last summer, not 'celebs' etc. I think he would need to do another run of small intimate type shows, not just one! 21 nights at Indigo2 lol cloud9

The last KOKO gig was a total lottery...my friend and I were both trying to get tickets as soon as they went on sale on ticketmaster. The website just ground to a halt for me...fortunately, somehow it worked for my friend so i got to go!...less than ten minutes later it was listed as sold out and tickets were going for £500 on ebay (though the government are bringing in legislation about that apparently, so it may not be a problem in September!)

It'll be a even more of a rush in both senses of the word trying to get the tickets this year i think!

The government will do nothing about the resale of tickets except maybe a half-arsed, totally useless fudge mad

It's in a lot of the press at the moment, especially the music press. Apparently it is in the pipeline.

Ebay have recently changed their regulations for the reselling of tickets for charity events too...which at one point they said they'd never do...thinking about it, if the promoters were smart they donate a small percentage of all their ticket sales to charity and then it'd screw it up for all the touts on ebay!...plus there would probably be some tax break in it for them too!

Prince has become a smart performer money wise!!!

He doesnt have to if he doesnt want to do the grind of traveling everynight.

Look in 2004 - He made $87 Million his cut

Then Did Vegas and made a boatload of money

Then in less then a month in the UK made $21 Million

Now this year he made $5 Million for a gig

eek

Nice solid money - if you can perform for real and totally live like it is breathing lol This is some easy money. cool

I'm sad that making Millions on top of Millions seems more important than releasing a decent album.
